I saw this pond but there was no review on quality and durability. Thanks for being the first person I know to used this. Please keep giving feedback and update on this pond.

ZAC ! Brother you inspired me ! and incredibly enough my wife said yes, I bought a 110 gallon tub and now have about 20 mosquito fish , 4 minnows of some type , 2 baby bluegills and a tiny yellow bullhead. all the fish came from a creek on the back of my property in East Texas.

Dude I just subbed! That bit about not sleeping because of thinking about making the fish room better is so spot on! I ordered a 900gl I had a 720 pentair fiberglass on order and I canceled it 2900 for tank and delivery. I have a question. I just got a silver arowana and it died on me. It was a baby so about 3 inches. I found it on the bottom face down. I hope you could give some advice. My tank is about 3 ft long and 1 ft wide. I have a good filter and airator.

I think one massive pond where that other one Gave up Would be really cool possibly a wood one That way you don't have to worry about anything getting broken Or leaking Water Would be a lot safer for pacu So when they get bigger it doesn't possibly break a hole in it Cause I've kept them before and I know how they can be lol

Thanks for sharing about this clear front pool pond. I came across you because I actually ordered this pond last night & then canceled the order this morning after worrying about an unknown failure rate. I can't find much online about how well these ponds do. While searching, I found you 😀 Would you mind letting me know if this bad boy is still holding water? I hope it is and the fish are doing well. I like the idea of the DIY filter and pond (I agree with the comment to try and recycle some of the deck lumber). I also like the comment about a huge tank. There are many KZbinrs that could give you pointers on that (Matt from Matt’s Monster Fish, the folks at OFR, and Joey from King if DIY…to name a few). I love all your native fish setups. You show a different side of the hobby and that’s why I watch.

@kennethritts91703 жыл бұрын
You do have some huge unusual tanks in the garage that are pretty dang big and hold a lot of water that you could put in the basement and that beast of a filter would push water around in it and keep it clean as well, I believe. Just my two cents as to what to do to replace that leaky pool and still have places for big fish.

Wood pond with windows (Plexiglass or Lexan). Save on wood by salvaging it from your deck you are removing if it hasn't all been hauled away yet. I did that once on a project years back with wood salvaged from a huge deck. Some sanding and a little stain and it looked quite good. Looks like you'd have plenty material available in that.
@SCFishKeeping3 жыл бұрын
So much of the wood from that deck is shot unfortunately! I have a few pieces I might be able to make do with but they previous owners had this thing built the cheapest and worst way possible!

I was thinking of using this for a full grown snapping turtle, but if anyone has experience with this fish pool product, in your opinion, is it physically strong enough to hold one (both the material that holds water and the "scaffolding" that keeps it up)? My main concern would be the big claws it has and its weight, also if it tries to climb and hang on the edge. Any comments would be greatly appreciated

@joshortiz15763 жыл бұрын
Love the set up!! Unfortunately pacu love wires lol. You have to cover any wires with something like pvc Would love to see you do a video or so on the diy of the filter Definitely should do a wood/pond liner DIY. Those pools are good for emergencies but not long term use for a pond. Seen so many people have tons of issues and they keep having them because they keep buying pools lol.
@BounceBoomBounce3 жыл бұрын
I've had mine set up for awhile now, and it has been great overall. I did notice one problem which is the holes that are in each upper corner of the pond. I had a fish hit a one in a million jump and made it through that hole in the corner. I covered the gaps with some thick vinyl tape so it doesn't happen again. I don't think it very likely that it would happen often, but I just thought I would mention it so others are aware.
