FISH4FUN: FISHING NEW WATER ON POMME DE TERRE LAKE

My wife and I are quarantined because of exposure to Corona Virus. We have tested negative but I have missed two weeks of fishing. This video was filmed in Sept 2020.

Pomme is my favorite lake to fish, I’ve had fun there on vacation for the last 6 years. It’s a few hours from my home, so I love seeing you guys fish there. Gets me excited for my next trip! Keep the videos coming, I appreciate every one of them.

I wouldn't call me the trolling master but I am right at the top of the enthusiast list LOL. There is a lot more to trolling than most people realize. I used to be one of them. But it really is fun to investigate the middle of the lake instead of always fishing the bank. And the nice part is that they seem to always bite best when the bank fishing the worst. Great video on a snow covered Sunday afternoon. I hope you and your wife stay on the negative side of Covid-19. My wife and I both had back in the first part of August, I had the worst. Ben, if Sharon had COPD and it really scares me to think what might happen if she caught the virus. We are impatiently waiting for the shots to be available. I have a couple of Bass fishing trips planed soon as well as some Trout fishing so I am hoping for better weather. Thank Ben for always being there.

Jason, thanks for the kind words. I went to Table Rock yesterday Tuesday) and caught 28 Bass on Ned Rigs in the 30 foot deep range. Have you tried fishing fishing deep for them this time of year? We well considering we were fishing water we hadn't fished before. My wife and I are very lucky because the person who had the Corona issue was at our house for about 6 hours. We tested negative on the 6th day and it has been 9 days now so I think we are OK. Happy new year Wayn and thanks for being so supportive of my channel.

Thanks for watching and yeah, we are trying to stay safe. We just finished a 14 day quarantine from an exposure to someone who had Corona Virus. We finished with a test that was lucky negative. My wife has COPD so we were worried for the whole time. Thanks for watching and having concern for other people.

Good old, reliable, windy Pomme in September. I really enjoyed the lake when we lived in Springfield. Most often our launch was the Bolivar landing when skiing or state park, Pittsburgh or Nemo when fishing. It certainly was a box of chocolates when it came to different fish species. With no floods on the horizon (yet) it should be good again this season and with any luck won't freeze over this winter. Best wishes, Don

Don, Pomme is truly a multi-specie fisherman's dream. We have been found out about though. During warmer weather you can't fish there without the Wave Runners and other large boats in large numbers. We did well in two of the five places we fished, one of them is on our investigate further list. I have two Bass fishing trips planned and since I spent the better part of two days tying Wooley Buggers I will have to try them out soon. Happy new year and lets do this again.

Randall, I have caught several Musky out of Pomme but not for a couple of years. I stopped fishing for them when I became fascinated with trolling because the best time for both is September and October. I think I will will give it a try this year though because several viewers have indicated they would like that. Thanks and Happy New Year.

I got to see that one. I loved the last trip you took below Bagnell Dam. Give me a hit if there are some big shad below the dam. I am having trouble getting shad for catfishing and when I would slip away from graduate school (many years ago!!) their seemed to always be shad stacked below the dam. Happy New Year and good luck.
