Cooking this fish for the first time and researching different ways to cook it from culture to culture. This looks amazing! Subbed for sure!

Keaulana Haserot Cannot go wrong with this kine recipe. My favorite for Moana and goats is the Chinese ginger style. Ill do a video on that!

How did you keep the fish for the week? freeze or fridge?
@FishandDiveHawaii4 жыл бұрын
Fish will usually last drenched in ice for a couple days. Main thing is that you clean it first. If you have a roto mold cooler. Keep the fish in there vs your refrigerator

Ay you got any tips on using puhi as bait? I got a whole one, just curious if I should take off the skin, do strips or cubes, etc. Mahaloz
@FishandDiveHawaii6 жыл бұрын
I usually use Tohei, but I always get lucky catching them over puhi. The way I know all the guys I fish with including myself cut it, is by mini fillet slabs like little square pieces. Leaving the skin on so it can stay on the hook. Barely ever need to check bait haha. Hopefully that helps 👍👍😊

RAV Vent Brah, how you do the deep fry action, what you use?
@FishandDiveHawaii6 жыл бұрын
And thanks bro, I appreciate it
@ravvent67876 жыл бұрын
Clean as usual then some garlic salt pepper. Deep fry like cooling nabeta meat is just tender, creamy and flaky. Try it bro highly recommended! Good contents bro definetly will exceed in your youtube channel!

How can this recipe be modified if the fish was filleted and skinned already? 😬
@FishandDiveHawaii4 жыл бұрын
Try the steam style! Can still work if its filleted and skinned. But best way after that is to make uhu nuggets!
@808foodie4 жыл бұрын
I actually just made as if it was still whole following your recipe. My family loved it! Thanks! Husband caught a 4.5 Uhu over on the north shore... so ono

@jakefromstatefarm36546 жыл бұрын
The way you cooked your shit is NOT hawaiian style. You can say local, because thats what I noticed a lot of you guys like to say. Its just a recipe you plantation mixed people made up. Definitely not Hawaiian. Stop abusing the culture
@808waimanalo6 жыл бұрын
jake from statefarm statistically, yes their aren’t that much “pure” Hawaiians left. But that’s just the times we live in. Maybe we know only the surface of our own culture. But we are a bi-product of the times today. Stop being so critical. You still cry about the overthrow I bet. Come on dogeh. Talk about being Hawaiian, they never walk around with a huge stick up their ass I bet🤙🏽

@@jakefromstatefarm3654 Brah.. you're fried. I'm glad you dont have anything better to do than troll on KZbin. But hey, thanks for the comments 🤙 It only helps with engagement for the channel. So much mahalos. At least I know what that means😁. And notice I didn't say Native Hawaiian style, just Hawaiian style. You know like Native American and American? I hope you understand 🤷♂️
