Arcade 1up NBA Jam COMPLETE ROSTER! - But Are There Errors?

Hi, re: duplicate players in original NBA Jam, there were only two players in the game originally in 1994. We couldn't add players that weren't in the original, so if one of those two players couldn't be licensed, the other one had to be duplicated. Nonetheless, the second copy plays like the player they replaced, so game play balance has not been affected. For TE, the swap of Elliott and Horry was a glitch from the original arcade version of Tournament Edition by Midway. That glitch has been reproduced here for authenticity to the original arcade experience.

Can the rosters be updated via WIFI if you get the licence for the missing player? If so do you see this happening or do you think the rosters are pretty much set? Great job by the way. I love this cab.

@@brettdavenport9598 yes they can be updated but as you can see they have yet to add any player to this game since it came out.

In the original arcade game. Seattle had Shawn Kemp and Benoit Benjamin. Sacramento had Wayman Tisdale and Spud Webb. Dallas had Derek Harper and Mike Izzulino. Indiana had Reggie Miller and Detlef Schrempf. Milwaukee had Brad Lohaus and Blue Edwards. NBA Jam TE had expanded rosters which can be achieved by beating the game or using a cheat trick. LA Lakers: James Worthy, Sacramento: Wayman Tisdale and Spud Webb, Portland: Harvey Grant, Seattle: Detlef Schrempf, Houston: Kenny Smith, Utah: Jeff Hornacek, Chicago: Horace Grant, Detroit:Lindsey Hunter, Milwaukee: Brad Lohaus, New Jersey: Benoit Benjamin, New York: Charles Oakley and Derek Harper. In NBA Hang Time, Milwaukee also had Glenn Robinson.

if i was working at Arcade1up i would have used the secret players as replacement characters. There's plenty there, even Air Morris and Stephen Howard are playable. I recently did a mod where I added Jordan and Shaq in T.E and if they wanted to they could add new players too. That Horry and Elliot mixup, that's how easy it is to change the players. What had happened was they were supposed to be traded but Elliot failed the physical so the trade was cancelled. They most likely swap the players around but when the trade got cancelled they swap them back but forgot to switch the name and uniform colors

I agree with your first sentence. I saw your mod on TE. Outstanding by the way. They should've had you program the a1up game instead of codemystics. They're feeling themselves way too much. Changing those players would have been easy like I've also been telling people codemystics could have done. A1up also has MK rights so they could have put those players back into the game along with breaking the backboard for TE. Codemystics just too damn lazy. Not one roster update or any update in 3 years.

Tell me about it. I've told them that so many times but to no avail. Amazing, we can get the roms for the full rosters but we would lose online play. They could but they won't due to selling the cab.

I wonder if the codes in Hangtime for all star players work even if they couldn't get their licence. Like Reggie Miller for example (MILLER 0000).

During that era Oakley and Mason gave the Knicks that bully mentality sorta like Georgetown had. Your right, Starks had the stats but again he was just not a clutch player. He choked in finals against Houston. I think he shot 1-19 in closeout game. Choked two free throws away when they lost to Indiana in Eastern Conferemve finals when Reggie Miller scored 8 points in like 13 seconds. Lol

Don't no why Gary Payton is only in Hangtime & not NBA Jam & Tournament Edition...But Reggie Miller is the big absentee. C'mon Reggie!!!!

Midway didn't obtain Gary's rights for 1st Jam. He was upset about that. But they have him in TE and Hangtime. Reggie Miller was in all 3 but they could not obtain his current rights for the games today. He along with Glenn Robinson both said on social media that codemystics/a1up never contacted them and that they would be in the games.
