I gotta get back out and do this again, but I won't post another one like this until at least 2 of the three methods catch a fish!! I think it would be a good idea to throw on the bobber rig also. Do you have a preference for favorite fishing method from the rocks? Oh and btw. The Fisherman's Life get together will be in early July!

Slick editing on the cast at 9:20 Matts, and also in general. The workload of 2 videos a week is crazy, but I really enjoy tuning in, and have for years. Don't feel like you have to keep it up, take a week off, or take a few weeks and only upload once. You made it this far with your old schedule, don't get stuck feeling like you gotta do it a certain way because you're gonna keep growing no matter what. Good luck out there, 'lets go'

It must be a lot of work, trouble and risk but I love seeing your underwater fishing video. Even the shaky clips when the bait is out of the frame are very interesting to me. Thanks for the video! BTW, I learned not to underestimate long-period swells, even the shortest ones. Those swells may not be very tall but any long-period swell can move an enormous amount of water. When those swells hit rocky areas they can create waves, current and turbulence that seem far out of proportion to their short height.
@gutmorgensurfen3 жыл бұрын
3ft @16sec is gonna be bigger than 3ft. The longer the interval = more wave height. I bet the waves were good that day for surfing, probably shoulder to head high. Nice footage, that seal chasing the bait was awesome!

You should try out a 1 oz chatter bait, It's a bass bait, but in the 1 oz size you can fish them at 20-30 ft. It sends out a ton of vibration, and I assume it would be insane as an ocean bait. I'd recommend a big keitech for a trailer. Also it's great having you back, us OG subs are enjoying it.
@alecferry213 жыл бұрын
I’ve played around with 1 to even 2 oz chatters off the rocks, caught some fish but experienced that the hardware isn’t generally up to the task. Blades and connection pieces brake a lot

The Olymbros camera doesn't have great resolution and watermarks everything, but it's cheap, a tank, and the battery lasts a long time. If you aren't filming for KZbin, it's a solid choice.

Tie the lure on with lower pound test and tie an overhand knot in it so it breaks if snagged on the bottom and you get you're camera back??
