I find that it's pretty easy as long as you use the shoulder straps, I normally have my rod holders on there and fully packed and still carry it down okay. Still love it though!

Does this float tube come with rod holders? I see on some sites it's listed as including 2 rod holders and 2 drink holders. However, most unboxing/review videos don't show them.

It does not, the "rod holders" are not really holders, they are little velcro straps that you can fasten your rods length wise to the back of the tube. The drink holders are on the top of the pockets but if you use them you cut about 1/3 of the usable space of the pockets and you of course can't fold the top all the way back. Hope it helps!

You could use it for the open ocean but I never have since you don't have much power with only your feet kicking and steering you. If you catch a bad current and winds, you could be in some trouble

Thanks for the video. I also watched your vid on making the rod holders, very neat. I am retired and thinking of getting my first tube. I like the Cumberland but thought I read that the tubes can get punctured easily. Also, what type of fins and waders would you suggest for a senior? Thanks and hope to see you on the water. I You could but I would not recommend it. All you have to propel yourself are your fins and the combination of wind and tides can really push you around

Fish finder is not necessary when you start out but I use a Deeper Plus, net can be any net at Walmart but I bought a foldable one off of Amazon, I use Kastking Perigee II with a Sharky III 2000 and a Kastking Speed Demon Pro with an Assassin for my rod and reels, glasses are from walmart but just got a new pair at Costco for $25. Hope it helps!

Hahaa, they are literally the two straps on in the inside of the walls of the tube. They don't work well at all

What was the reason you chose to purchase this guy over the fish cat 4 deluxe? If price wasn’t an issue. Would you have chosen the fish cat instead?

No. I chose it because the Cumberland has removable bladders, is lighter and I prefer the seating position. The Fish Cat is a great tube also for many though

Are sharks a factor here when used in saltwater. I saw the video on you tube of Kayaker gets chased by Hammerhead. I'd definitely put kevlar or chainmail pants on. Looks awesome though🤨

Hahaha comes up every now and again, there has never been a shark siting in the harbors or bays on record. Never seen one, never heard of anyone seeing one. Not a factor to me, keep in mind we are fishing in 10-11 foot depth and with a dredged bottom so not really a place a shark wants to be

Yes you sit on it, I have worn waders, trunks, "tights" and not a concern. Never had a time where I felt like I was going to slip off
