Back in my prime I was a bodybuilder and had to eat 5,000 to 7,000 calories a day. Well I had read about a vegetarian diet for bodybuilding. Well after a couple of month's we had a dinner party and I always did my own cooking. Well my son who was about six at the time blurt's out. I could be a vegetarian when I grow up, as long as I can eat meat. I went out the next day and got a nice NY strip steak. I can eat and enjoy a good meatless meal, but a great steak is better then the S word. Hope I didn't offend anyone.

Most killifish aren’t livebearers but the type you mentioned is. Although it’s called a killifish, it doesn’t actually belong to one of the killifish families. I'm gonna get those extra points on the qotw. I love endlers, but I'm gonna go with the Pecos Gambusia. Last year for our birthdays, my brother and I trekked out to west Texas to swim at Balmorhea State Park. It was incredible swimming with natural fish and diving from the 10 foot board. That state park is home 2 two unique endangered species. One is a Pupfish, and the other is the Pecos Livebearer. They aren't in the spring fed pool because theyre protected species, but it's really cool to visit their area and see them in their literal natural habitat.

The artist is Marco Evaristti, he’s an incredible artist who uses shock in his art to convey a broader idea of responsibility, voyeurism and morality. The piece is called Helena. The director of the museum was charged with animal cruelty, but was later acquitted. It was shown in a few other galleries. Evaristti ended up doing more work. One was in 2008 where he had gold fish in a tank where the viewer was given the choice to feed the fish freeze dried human remains of an inmate who was executed on death row. He created a follow up piece called forgive me helena, where he had the fish in a massive tank that had an interesting aqua scape which included religious texts and culturally significant books. Honestly read up on it. It’s messed up, but that’s the nature of transgressive art. It’s not justified or justified. My dissertation was on animals in transgressive art, this was the one that was the most challenging morally, and considering there is a lot of animals used in art…this one is nuts…

So, my beloved betta died a couple weeks ago from a terrible windstorm shutting off his filter and tank for the day, and caused a significant decrease in his tank temp. I have a 5 gallon, and I think I’m ready for another fish, but I don’t want to replace him with another betta. I was wondering if anyone’s more knowledgeable on the best breeds of fish for a 5 gal or if I should just stick to keeping another single betta in it since most fish require more size?

If you're still looking for suggestions, a few sparkling gouramis, some dwarf corydoras, white cloud mountain minnows, phoenix rasboras, ember tetras or least killifish are all what I've tried in a 5gal tank. Can mix some species but not choose all of them and the killifish are unfortunately a very rare kind of fish in the hobby that aren't true killis, they're actually a true nano livebearer I'll hopefully get to breed some time in the next year. The minnows are going to be the cheapest and easiest to find for most people though

You should do a review on the current Choice Hotels commercial. The kid has a Betta in a fish bowl thats half full. The kid takes the fish with him to the hotel and the aquarium. Can I bring my tank on vacation with me.

6:23 just so you know, acquitted means that they were found not guilty, and that means that he was not actually charged with animal cruelty

My favorite Live Bearer is the Xiphophorus Montezumae (Montezuma Swordtail). Easily the most extravagant of the Swordtails. I'm trying to get some for my new 110gallon tank, but no luck so far :(
