Absolutely stunning territory. Glad to see you share this experience. I plan to fish there soon, as well. I am 57 years old and have vacationed in the area dozens of times in my life and some crazy reason never tried to fish it (mainly due to family planned conflicts). It will be my priority next trip.

Head over to Cherokee Indian Reservation while you're there. You'll be glad u did. Good Trout fisherman will bring 30 plus to the net most days in the Spring. Good chance for large fish too. Wildies and scenery are great but size and numbers are outstanding in Cherokee, Gatlinburg too for that matter

One question. How in the heck do you get the spinner to spin when casting upstream and reeling in with the flow of the river?

Watch on 2 devices because I can only leave comments on this one. At least the commercials play on both. I am a human being and not a "bot". I watch because I enjoy Fish Hawk's channel so play nice, KZbin! You show twice as many ads (so long as each is less than 5 minutes) as a result. No cause to consequence anyone due to this. This device is only 1080P. The other one is 4K (hence, 2 viewes and 2x the commercials). This is exactly why.

Great content! Spinners are my go to for any new stretch of water! But for streams like this, how many times do you get snagged? After losing over a dozen spinners I swapped out all the treble hooks😂

Love these vidz bro.🙂👍 I wonder, with throwing your Fish Hawk spinner if a more top water small bait/fly type cast woulda worked better?🤔 I also HAVE TO ASK, is it me? Or, is there sumthin to having your feet (if not more) in the water while your fishing that makes it a REALLY cool experience to have WHILE fishing?🤷‍♂️ Hope you keep makin these....and I REALLY hope the vidz will get, a little bit, longer (just sayin and hopin....can't get enough.)🙏😔 As always, Peace. ✌😎

I always tell people you don't fish for trout, you hunt trout, approaching the hole, pocket or ripple is important, crouching and using large rocks to conceal yourself is important in clear water.

Rooster tail spinners in that kind of stream suck. You need to use a blue fox or panther martin. Takes to much space to get a rooster tail spinning. A lot of times the holes are too small and short. The other two spin as soon as you start reeling.

if i were fishing for fish to eat, i'd drift single cured salmon eggs or the equivalent on a tiny hook with a small split shot about 24 inches above it... possibly a helgrammite on same... it would moidalize them...

I swear, the handheld camera you use makes all the colors look dull and bland. Does anyone else notice this. Not trying to criticize, but if you could make one purchase to upgrade this channel; just buy a new camera for releases and face shots.
