I want to clear up some confusion on the speed of the boat. The boat does not go 6 miles per hour, that was a ridiculous uneducated guess by me. After putting a fish finder on the boat I can confirm with one person the boat goes on average 2.5 to 3 miles per hour. Very sorry for any confusion caused.

Lol. 😂 btw depending on application gas just goes futher with less stress. If it's lakes or back bay areas having a trolling motor and gas motor is a nice safety. I hear the 3.5hp gets your up around 10mph which makes it worth it if you want to cover some water. Cheers.

I'm an old guy and have a small boat similar to yours. That's a nice boat. The reason I am posting is because of you're thankfulness. It's really good to see someone young, or old for that matter that is thankful. Keep that gift of thankfulness even in the small things and life will continue to bless you. God bless.

Congratulations on your new Bass Raider. One can purchase a Bass Raider 10e plus a battery and an electric trolling motor and a 2.5 hp Suzuki outboard for LESS then what some of the pedal powered kayaks sell for. It's a real bargain and, as you said, sturdy and almost maintenance free.

Wassup young buck! I just got a 10e not long ago too. I used interlocking rubber floor tiles from home depot. Pretty sturdy, with a harder layer on top, think for using as a gym mat. Only cost $50, and NO GLUE or plywood. Have fun!

Might I suggest putting a roll up exercise mat on the floor. Soft, mostly non-slip and just the right width and leaves room for the battery in length if you have a 10' boat.

Have the bottom of your boat coated with line - x for traction and sound damping. Or go to auto store for the coating
@W4EMB3 жыл бұрын
I found the "stable" mats sold at a tractor supply store are perfect . They are heavy, but since you lay it in the floor, the weight actually adds ballist and makes the boat even more stable. Find me on IG and see my mods. Great video young man! Enjoy and congrats!

It’s in bluff springs off of vertex blvd so not too far from Kyle, I’ll be honest haven’t fished that pond in around a year and a half but I used to catch nice fish outta there so hopefully it’s still pretty good!

Nice video young man, and congrats on your 1st boat.. 1 suggestion, talk a little slower, the 1st part of the video you were talkin a mile a second like rapid fire..

I definitely do talk pretty fast lol. Part of the reason on why I do that though is just so the videos a little shorter because I know nobody want to watch a 20 minute video of me talking

I live in Austin and I am considering buying the Bass Raider. Do you still think it’s a good boat to have in Austin? Also where do they sell them at locally?
@FishinATX2 жыл бұрын
I think the bass raiders a great boat to have to have in Austin because it gives you great access to all bodies of water a kayak would but it also allows you to carry way more gear. That being said if you want to fish Lake Austin or Lake Travis with it I would recommend only using it to fish coves, not on the main lake. You can buy them online at academy or bass pro and pick it up curb side.

@FishinATX4 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure of the exact dolly model because I’ve had it for a really long time. But if you buy about a 3 ft steel or aluminum dolly you should be good.

I enjoyed your review and I might be getting one of these myself. I had to laugh out loud when you claimed you could use your trolling motor on full power for 20 hours on a 100AH battery. Why would you made such and outrageous claim. Tops 3 hours on full power and not even really that.
@caymanhilldesigns4534 жыл бұрын
i prefer the bass raider but, a metal jon boat is much lighter. A 12 foot jon boat is just over 100 pounds. Just an FYI.
@FishinATX4 жыл бұрын
I bought the bass raider because it was smaller and easily fit in the back of my truck. It’s not the lightest available boat but it’s still pretty light in my opinion.
