Nice fish...just got back from an outing myself on my Pelican Bass raider 10E...me and my buddy got 12 bass....all over 3 lbs ...biggest was 5.75 lbs. Only bad thing was a big ole hog bass smacked my 1/2 oz Lunker spider, pulled it clean off the line and then spit it out like 5 ft in the air...wish I could've got it on video. I was lucky to recover the $7 lure. Love the mods you did with your rig. That thing is set up for serious action. That lake looks decent and everything but where's the cover? Is it all big wealthy homes? You got to get up to New England and fish the stump ponds..you can see clear to the bottom and not a home in sight.
@maxcastfishing43574 жыл бұрын
Magik Mage what a great day of fishing! Lake Woodlands is just an okay lake. There isn’t much cover or structure; it’s basically a giant swimming pool, but it does hold big bass. Thanks for the compliment! All the best!

The only problem with lake woodlands is they don’t allow gasoline motors. They used to allow you to only troll with them but now you cant even use them at all, it’s exclusively electric only.

I have a bantam Bass Tracker that I have for a long time but thinking about getting the 120 Pelican tracker cuz it already comes with the decks and the fish keeper and a storage but I do like what you did with the boat
@maxcastfishing43575 жыл бұрын
Richard DeMore the Catch 120 is a great looking setup for sure; although I’ve never fished one. I’d consider that more of a kayak style boat and if I was to go that route, I really like the look of the Bonafide Kayaks. I love the Pelican Bass Raider 10e, but beware if you start modifying it like I did you’ll need to get a trailer, as it can be too difficult to lift into a truck bed. But if you keep your PBR 10e simple with a few mods, it’s so easy to make a wheel dolly and get it in and out of a truck bed!

How shallow can it go? I know the weight limit is 600, have you ever tried going a little bit over ? One more question, if I sit that on a utility cart, would it be heavy to push around ?
@maxcastfishing43575 жыл бұрын
Homer Garcia depending on how much weight you have in it will depend on how shallow it can go. With all I have in it, I can move along in about 1 1/2 to 2 feet just fine as long as move the trolling motor up. We had a really bad flood here in Texas back in 2016 (know as the tax day flood) and sections of my neighborhood flooded really bad. I bought this boat used off Craigslist a few days before and the day it flooded, I used it to rescue 8 family’s from their house. One family consisted of two laddies that were easily 300 plus pounds and had 4 suitcases. I estimated with me and everything thing else we had around 850 pounds in the boat and it kept us dry!!! The water was about an inch away from the seam/half line of the boat.
@maxcastfishing43575 жыл бұрын
Homer Garcia a flat utility cart should work. There’s several guys on KZbin that have made wheeled carts for these boats. Basically a piece of wood a little longer than the width of the boat with two harbor freight wheels on them and a strap to keep it from moving.
