I live about 20 minutes from there.They cool the water alot before putting back in the river.The water used to be alot warmer.Early 90s the stripers would be stacked in there.On Thanksgiving day I caught 31 striper in 2 hours.Back then you could go all the way around the banks 9 11 put a stop to that.Epa regulations put an end to warm water discharge.

I fish there a bunch. You can catch skipjack there.I’ve seen flathead blues and channel cat caught there. Also my personal best smallmouth fishing for crappie.

They used to really release hot water there. It’s not like that anymore. Fishing was much better then. You couldn’t find a spot on that wall then.

Spencer, try drifting your cut bait suspended under a big bobber. Experiment with different depths 'till ya find the active ones. Drop it straight down, let drift 100 yards......repeat.

Will you do a video on the typical catfish/carp setup? I know virtually nothing but fly fishing. I have a Medium-Heavy 7 foot rod with 10lbs of VERY tangled mono on it after I tried to use it ONE DAMN time and upon casting 1 rapala I noticed that somehow 3 or 4 lines had exited the end of my rod tip. Oh the joy I felt could only be described as red hot burnt ass of hell with a string side of cuss words that I vocalized like Josh Groban upon the entire river that day. I love fly fishing....I wonder if I can catch a catfish on a fly.......lol. I crack me up.

Fresh line helps. Trilene XL is more forgiving than most mono lines. You can definitely catch a cat on a fly. I just caught one on a jig and plastic last night and catch them on bucktail jigs in the spring. Good luck dude.
