I go fishing a tiny lake and the fish go crazy! In this film Graeme has already done an overnight session on one of Todber Fisheries main Carp lakes. But instead of going home the next day, he packs his big Carp gear in the car and sets up with his match rod and float, plus a ledger rod and some leftover lobworms. He was hoping for the odd nibble or two but the fish had other ideas and he ended up with an action filled session on both rods with a range of baits and techniques. Check it out in case some of the tips could work for you.

Hartley Lands Fishery ..in Cranbrook, Kent..... sampson lake you cannot stop catching big and small fishand put a nice bedn in your rod and there are loads of other lakes to fish .. i fish mainly on Reservoir Lake - Carp/Coarse Lake..good days out and great rod bending action when you get them feeeding..right place right time right bait my best weight as just under 170 pounds of mixed fish.... i make a loss ground bait into a ball and add a big hand full of large floating fish pellets. and give it a big squeeze so it goes stright down to the bottom..and when it breaks down at the bottom the floating fish pellets come to surface..that way you know when you groundbait broken down and you got some floaters so you feed surface and get the carp coming up and after 2hrs you put a hook it it

Graham / Mike please can you help me out with a question, Its regarding your ground bait that you always use, I remember a while back you used horse bran in making your own ground bait so i bought 20kg horse wheat bran to make my own ground bait, but i now see on loads of other vids you use Baileys No.1? Is that the same thing? Or should i buy the no.1 instead? Thanks
@TAFishing
@TAFishing Жыл бұрын
Bran would not bind together well,I just use it when I am making up shark fishing "chum" which soaks up the oil. The Bailey's number 1 on its own goes quite firm so I mix a bit of bran with it.Rough guide I guess about 75% Bailey's and 25% bran. That's for lakes.You can always damp it a bit more if you want it to break up faster. Main thing is to let it sit and soak for five minutes before you add any additional water.And of course you can mix in whatever hookbaits you want,Sweetcorn,maggots,hemp,worms etc,whatever the fishery allows.

Question: if you use an electronic alarm which senses a bite and sounds an alarm why would you also use a visible bobbin on the line too? I don’t understand why you would have both. Roger Taylor from Louisville Kentucky USA
@TAFishing
@TAFishing Жыл бұрын
The bobbin pulls the line at an angle over the wheel inside the bite alarm at a better angle. It also helps indicate what we call a "drop-back_"bite when the fish picks up a bait and moves towards you.
