@@patiphatklandee5963 this was a comment from a subscriber who is local there - Powerbait for the win out here and cast to the sides of the wharf for Trout. 400-500mm for leader goes well with 1/4 ounce sinker and try the floating nuggets.

people always catch them at the warf using either the yellow egg powerbait or chunky cheese when im there after the carps

What a spinout, GTARP voice fishing my local dam. The trout bury themselves in the weeds and eat snails, Use chartreuse powerbait 500mm leader. I always hook up +40cm trout every visit.

Whaaa that is a spin out, Stater fishing ya dam lad ahahah If budget allows will try go there again this Tuesday. I have tunnel vision for those carp that don't belong there. Be nice if I had my strong line on that rod :( . Hell yeah, thanks for the local tip, I have no idea what to use there so just whack some corn on or those yellow egg ball garlic powerbaits on 2.7kg line. Will give your method a crack for sure on that leader length, think mine was too long. was like 900 long prob out of their range.

@@CorbzyOutdoorzy LOLz, Carp have only been here in the last 3 years or so. I have seen them 3 times the size of the one you hooked into. I use 2.7kg for trout, might go a bit heavier for the big carp. @@Hrdtop75 yeah right, I didn't even know they were there. Every time I read up on the lake it just mentioned Redfin, Brown and Rainbow. wouldn't mind hooking me one of those big ones. Never caught a carp in Aus before. Yeah sweet, will shorten that leader next time and cast over the sides, was just casting straight out 🤣

Do you guys think any trout or redfin in lake wallace after massive fish kill 3 months ago

They restocked the trout, a bunch of guys were catching some when I was packing up my campsite, they started biting around midday. were all over 30 cm. Haven't seen the redfin though.
