The high winds finally broke so finally got a chance to hit the water. Crossing over the 7-mile bridge, the water looked like coffee all the way across so I figured things would be tough. The strategy was to seek any clean water and hope for the best.

Great video Steve! That bucktail is always a great classic lure! I had an epic weekend fishing there...the fish were on fire and caught my PB 32" Snook, 28 " Gag Grouper, Red Snappers at Big pine Key...the reports were on point and what a beautiful clear sky it was. Can't wait to get down there again!

Great action!! When you work a bucktail jig do you normally just swim it while piping the rod tip every couple seconds or do you do short pops and then let it fall back to bottom and let it sit for a second before repeating? Thanks for all the great vids

Please do a catch & cook with a Redfish. I have not had fresh Redfish in over a decade. Blackened, some fried fingers or filets, broiled with deviled crab stuffing. Mouth watering.

snook will crush on of those mullet live and free lined with just circle hook. or a high movement fly that reps a shrimp or mullet will also work too.

Planning my 1st trip back to the keys since 2008 in January. Just love watching all the videos. I fished all around Big Pine in a kayak before and so much looks very similar. Wondering if you ever fished hen and chickens or cheeca rocks off of Islamorada? Reefs only a mile off shore.
