Always remember, the gator lives there. You’re visiting! He has home field advantage! Lol

Yep same problem as bears in the Smokies. Tourists come and feed them and they lose their fear of humans and that is what makes them dangerous. Looks like some fun fishing.

I've been on the Tamiami Trail, 10k islands and Turner River in canoes mostly. When the gators come up to the boat, we just give them a tap on the head with a paddle. That usually sends them away. The ones that aren't fazed by the paddle taps are the ones you need to keep an eye on. ;)

Forty years ago when I was a kid growing up in that area, gators were somewhat rare. They’re everywhere now, and can be pretty bold. It’s good practice to assume that there’s at least one in every canal, neighborhood lake and pond.

@fnordrabbit11563 жыл бұрын
Yeah, they’ll be trained to come over to other people they encounter and see if they have any food for them. Gators don’t acknowledge “they are giving the food to me, that’s nice of them!” They are more likely thinking “This human is a great source of food, that must mean others might have what I’m looking for!” That can be a real danger when fed to a wild gator. Thanks for putting that up.
@prestonrussell6053 жыл бұрын

He’s coming back soon and is the Only way to heaven! John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me. God bless you all! 🙏🏾💙

@orendz77403 жыл бұрын
It's really tragic people feed these things, because like the comment below me states, they get use to people, lose their fear, and then hopefully best case is they get relocated. Worst case, they get killed. Either way, its not good for the animal to feed them. Man, your Florida videos are probably my favorites just because of all of the different species they have there that you normally wouldn't see anywhere else. Plus, it would just be so weird fishing at a place that have gators living there too.
