Not many people out there that can just go to a completely new fishery and catch them like that, but you manage to do it just about every time. Some people are just born with it and can think like a fish. Loved hearing about how everyone fishes eggs but since you were seeing bait you used a swimbait, makes perfect sense but people are so set in their ways that a lot of them probably wouldn't do it! Keep up the good work, can't wait to see the rest of this trip.

Nice video. Pretty much anything that resembles and emerald shiner works good in smaller or larger systems. Eggs, marabou jigs and small soft plastics work good in all great lake tribs. Tight lines.

I never used to carry a net until I lost a few salmon trying to land them. Now I almost never go without. I got one that folds and telescopes and laughed thinking it was too big when I got it. I’ve never been sorry to have the extra length. Also, it’s nice to keep the fish safely submerged in water while you unhook it/film it/get ready to photograph it instead of hamfisting it or letting it flop on the ground. Just two cents

Right in my backyard gentleman! There are numerous areas to get bait and tackle but there's one just a couple miles from where you were right on Creek Road rightfully named Creek Road Bait and Tackle. I grew up fishing that River and I can tell you it has its good days and bad days. There's been days I've been down there and you can literally see the fish everywhere but they won't touch anything. Matter of fact a few of my friends were down there the other day and just could not get them to bite. Nice job great video! There is a guy around here they call the gorge Guru his name is Michael Rzucidlo, you can check him out on Facebook he is a huge badass that videos almost every fishing trip down there and very rarely gets skunked even on the hardest days.

The second spot you fished is better for lake trout earlier in the fall. October/November it's possible to do double digits in that stretch on anything that resembles a minnow. Seems like it's mostly rainbows in the winter/spring. White or black marabou hair jigs or crappie sized tube jigs in same under a float are no joke in the other tribs here. No need for roe...

First off- you seen like a great guy and a guy that people like to go fishing with- one tip, get an aluminum long handled net- its really handy for landing them- handling them. You will lose tons of big fish trying to drag em up embankment. - fish on dude

I fished there with a guide about 10 years ago. I like the style of fishing better that the salmon river. We fished live emerald shiners on a 3 way rig. A lot like fluke fishing or eeling stripers. Froze my ass off though...lol.

Fished the niagara a couple 100 times. The only bait you need is provided to you by the river. Catch the little bait fish, and drift those. If the bait fish are not running, then a simple white tube for bass will catch anything.

pigs dont fly Oh yes. Been there, done that. But, you know, if you want to practice c&r, as he does, a net and some pliers would help him out allot. Love these videos but I would love to see him handle fish a little better. Lifting fish by the tail, no support under the head/belly... not good. I am not use to handle Steelheads, they sure look like a tuff species. They probably can handle it.
