Fishing at Point Pleasant Canal NJ (Fall 2022)

We went to Point Pleasant Canal for the first time. It was recommended to us by our fellow crabber and wow! What a good place to fish. We caught our first Tautog, also known as Blackfish and lots of baby Black Sea Bass. Although we didn’t catch any keepers, we had such a great time. Had lunch at the nearby park where we met someone who caught a 16.5 keeper Tog! Enjoy the video🥰!

I fished there 3 weeks ago but directly across from where you are fishing. My boyfriend and I fished for 5 hours and caught 67 fish.. I caught the only keeper a 18 inch black fish.. good spot to fish.

First time din namin mag tog fishing😊. Nakakatuwa, ang daming kumakagat. $5 dollars per dozen, mas kinakagat nila pag hinati mo yung crab in half. Masarap daw ang tog pag niluto. 15 inches ang keeper. Thanks for watching. 😊

Love the canal. We used to fish further down by the Inlet. Very nice. I always wondered how you would do fishing from the bank. I've seen many people fishing along the canal. One friend of mine had a boat in the marina on the other end of the canal. Safe travels and God bless you!
