Got into a 47 lb black drum about 2 weeks ago up in Apalacchicola and thought it was world record Redfish! Only had 30lb braid and 40lb fluoro leader but got lucky and caught him in the surf off the beach so he really had nothing to break me off on. It was a fun fight on med tackle. These guys are bruisers and never give up! It was my PB for sure but we weighed him and it was a legit 47!😎

Hi @SeeYaDude, my name is Walker and I met you at tailwater the other day at tarpon-fest! You have been a huge insparation to start my own channel and I was wondering if we could fish together sometime for a video! I have a little skiff and a kayak but my roots are in land based fishing. You've shown me how to catch sheepshead, redfish, trout, snook, snapper, etc and I was hoping you would consider doing a collab!

We were using the same & had a bullred break the store bought heavy leader! We did land 2 big bullreds the other day on blue crab. Caught tons of specs, sandtrout & a few flounder on spec rigs this morning at the Mouth of the Brazos here in SE Texas. Them blue crabs work.. Tight lines🤟

At one of the docks around where I live tons of them Hang around. Weighing between 30-60 lbs. apparently I’ve heard there is one that is about 80-90 pounds with barnacles growing all over it. I only use 25lb Braid with a 85lb mono leader. Works really well and haven’t lost one yet!

You think a 6000 or 8000 size spinning reel would be good for this?
@SeeYaDude2 жыл бұрын
That should work as long and it puts out a good amount of drag. You can always cup the spool yourself for a little extra drag

What pound is the main line? Also pretty sure I know this bridge.. is it mostly roughly 10 feet deep near the piling? Got a jet ski so this would be tricky lol

Try to keep them in the water, or only pull them out for a few seconds, especially since your just talking while holding the fish. Love the videos, keep it up!
