Yeah man summertime is the worst too, and this holiday weekend forget it. We went yesterday evening and it was absolutely packed. A group of people came and fished right next to us. I’m talking like right right next to us. Just zero awareness of personal space. Casting all over us. Casting up into the trees. The type of casts that go 3 feet and hit the water like a cannonball splash. Wading in the water and splashing around. Lol it was pretty bad. 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 Worst of all, a lot of people are keeping all the largemouth they catch there. Poaching. My buddy saw a largie that had been filleted just laying on the bank, and full stringers of them hidden in bushes. 😡 Like go to the upper lake and catch striper if you need food. 🙄🤷🏻‍♂️ Sucks man.

Man oh man oh man HELL NO I didn’t know we had poaching going on I know there’s minimal crappie in there but eating bass!!!??? Y’all fuckin gross and I hope you’re reading this! But exactly man go to the upper lake if you plan on keeping. Ppl like me and you go for the excitement of catching one then releasing plus being outdoors is amazing! Okay I know there’s tournament fishing there but I’ve head Mfs in jersey’s that don’t know etiquette aswell same thing come and fish right next to me with there dumb Pokémon looking top water casting right over my line but I try to keep it peaceful at the end of the day if I hook into 1 I’m good tbh!

@@samtheangler47 Yeah bro. It’s just a different type of person, they don’t even know any better. I’m 100% in it for the love and challenge of the sport. I have a huge respect for each fish I catch and always do my very best to take good care of them and get them back in the water as quickly and as gentle as possible. I want those fish to grow up to be PBs! If I need food that bad, I’ll hit Costco. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️😂

@@WhereWeWild Unfortunately some people suck! Happens to me whenever I fish the "Goon" especially around the reeds you are fishing. You got a boat man, let us lowly bank fisherman fish the spot! And like you mentioned on weekends the place gets wrecked!! Last time I camped at the lagoon ( to get multi-days of fishing in) I arrived on Sunday late afternoon hoping the weekend campers are gone but no they are there the whole day even when they are supposed to check out of their camp site at 11am, my site had a car parked in it with an empty case of beer sitting on the table. Beer bottles and garbage all over the place, people in the water and poaching going on! There was even a fire ban at the time and yet they had fires. One camper told me (he was camped next to them) he went over and doused their fire and told them about the fire ban, of course they bitched him out and stated the fire again. Sad thing is that the park rangers/police don't really enforce their own rules. Police came by few times to tell them they had to pack up and leave but they stayed for at least 3 more hours. By the way love your attitude and the work you put into your videos. Thanks and Tight lines !!

Haha yeah man I’ve had this happen many times in my life for sure… some people just either aren’t aware of it or simply don’t care. For me, wether I’m on a boat or fishing the shore… I always just try to be mindful of other fishermen and make sure to give them their space. Most of my fishing etiquette was just instilled by my Father at a very early age. The other thing that happens a lot too is when parents let their kids throw rocks in the water 2 feet away from where you’re fishing 🤦🏻‍♂️😂 That won’t ever be my kid I’ll tell ya that. 😁

@@WhereWeWild haha yeah the rock throwing is bad where I fish the most. The moms walk by talking on the phone or to another mom not paying attention. The kids have also come up and went to grab my fishing rods. I have to yell at them warning then about the hooks. I don't make videos but seriously was considering doing a video on this subject.

When you have kids you can ruin their fun all you want, glad you are smart enough not to tell others kids what to do 😂.

Do you fish much? 🤔 From the shore? 😁 Haha this almost happened the other day, but as the kids started to approach the water, their father said “Ok guys now we have to be quiet because these people are trying to fish.” The one kid picked up a big stick and was about to throw it in the water. Father said “Hey don’t throw that in the water, it will scare the fish away, I told you we have to be quiet, come sit here.” That’s a rockstar Dad right there. 😎 Seeing this, I immediately walked closer to them and started showing and explaining to them exactly what I was doing and why, gave the kids a few soft plastic baits to play with and to take home, and we talked about fishing for a good 15 minutes before they left. The father actually didn’t even know much about it, but he knew that you had to be quiet. It’s not about depriving kids of fun at all, it’s about teaching them to be aware of their surroundings and to be considerate of other people… a great life lesson that goes far beyond just fishing and the outdoors, and seems to be a lesson that a lot of people you see now days were never taught by their parents.

Lol maybe… or, he’s watched Butch pull giants out for the last 20 plus years like everyone else who has been pressuring that place for decades in hopes of catching a trophy. 🤷🏻‍♂️😂🤙🏽 Place is definitely no secret, most pressured water I’ve ever fished in my life, the fish have seen every bait known to man for sure.
