I’m pretty sure there’s a scammer out there claiming to be Tyler telling people they won but they’re just trying to get people to pay a shipping fee. Scroll through the comment replies and check out all the “winners” there are. I was one of them and not only did I win the reel, I also won a kayak. On a school trip last summer. It was in June we were in Colorado as a class camping and having a fun little trip. But where we were set up was a fishing pond with trout in it. And so I decided I wanted to catch some. But the problem was I didn’t bring a rod. So I ended up trying to make one. The first design was a stick with some grass roped together, with a plastic fork end as a hook. This obviously didn’t work. But I was already into it. Everybody else in my grade didn’t think I could pull it off, but I was determined to get one and so I started betting money. By then I had already started improving the design, adding features like a bobber and some twine (which I found nearby a snack shop on the campsite). But the hook wasn’t right yet, and paperclips were my best option. But in a stride of luck, I met this awesome guy named TJ who gave me a wire to use (which was much sturdier) and also helped me with the technique. But I needed some bait. And so I spent a day or two trying to see if anything that the camp staff was serving at meal time was any good. But then I remembered they had hotdogs at the snack shop. And the hotdog worked like a charm. The bread was amazing for chumming the water, and the fish attacked the hotdog. And so finally, on the last day or two on the trip, I caught a trout. Or, well, TJ did more like, but uhh… yeah. But after he demonstrated the technique (letting the fish eat it and then yank really hard because the wire wasn’t sharp enough to hook it), I managed to catch FOUR on my own. FOURR!! And I would’ve been a rich kid after that had it not been the case that we were 8th graders who didn’t really keep promises regarding money (also most of them were in debt from betting money at cornhole). And I would say those four trout, being caught be twine and a wire, started off my fishing craze because I was never really a huge fisherman until then. It gave me everlasting confidence and joy for fishing, which eventually led to me catching my first bass some weeks later! But I’m still stuck with a zebco rod since I don’t have any money to buy one myself. So this reel would be amazing to have! Congrats on 300k subscribers Tyler!

I have two favorite memories. My first is from the first time I went fishing. I grew up in NYC. My dad tried to teach me how to fish by taking me to the Hudson River. I felt something on my line and we both got really excited. He was encouraging me. He kept saying "reel it in, reel it in." I was about 10 at the time and really small. This thing felt so big. I was super excited. When I finally reeled it in, it was a shoe. 😂 we laughed so hard and it was something we talked about often. My second favorite memory was actually from this yr, a few weeks ago. I had always been pan fishing and just this yr, my nephew, and I have really started learning a ton about bass fishing. Watching a ton of your videos. I took my nephew fishing at this pond here in PA. We went early and had a pretty good morning, mostly catching 2 to 3 lbs bass. It started to get a little slow and I told him "hey, we're going to leave in about 10-15 minutes, so cast a few more times and then we'll head out." He threw a white and chartreuse 1/2 oz spinner without a trailer. Next thing you know, all I hear is "I got a big one. Oh man, it's heavy!" So much excitement. I run over with the net and this thing was really fighting. He gets it in and I scoop it with the net. It's a big old 5.5 lb bass. He was so excited. He unhook it, puts it back in the water and casts out that spinner again. BOOM! Another bite. He starts yellin', "Oh, I think this one is bigger than the last one." As he reels it in, I come running with the net again. It was definitely bigger. He caught a 5.8lb bass. The excitement on his face was priceless and made that fishing trip one for the books. This video, like all your others was great and very informative. Thank you for taking time to make excellent and helpful content. We've learned so much!

My favorite fishing memory was standing in my waders, in the middle of Yellowstone. Cloud cover moved in and all of a sudden I was surrounded by rising trout, everywhere! My favorite fishing 🎣 memory is when I was a 12 year old yung’ teen. My brother and I used to catch minnows, crawfishes, and baby bluegills with two window screens at Oxon Run Creek in Washington, DC. We used to stand in 18 inches of water, eight feet apart, facing each other, waiting for a school of fish. Once the fish swim between us, we run towards each other with the screens in the water. Once we get within arm reach, we lift the screens 🆙 surprisingly there’d be at least 20 baby fishes flipping around. To this day, our parents never found out about us using the house windows screens. By far, this is my most favorite fishing memory.

My favorit memory is from when I was growing up during the summer I'd get to spend two weeks at my uncles house in Galvestine and he would take me shark fishing. My uncle has taught me everything about fishing and through those lessons a lot about life. As an adult fishing had kind of gone to the wayside due to having to do adult things until recently. At the start of this year my seven year old daughter asked me to take her fishing and this has reignited my love for fishing and now my daughter has the fishing bug which she is spreading to her three year old brother. Life has come full circle because now I get to look forward to share my passion for fishing and teach my kids about fishing and those many life lessons that come with it. I love your videos, keep them coming.

My favorite fishing memory used to be a trip to Canada with my Dad, Uncle, and younger brother for a week living on an island fishing in the Algonquin. Now it is guiding my daughter to her first unassisted catch, her little six your old self throwing everything into her hookset, the excitement as she realed in that 3 inch bluegill, and realizing she was born to to fish when she described it as a 12 incher at least to her mother (un coached)... I guess fishing stories come as natural as fishing to some 😂

When I was a little kid maybe 7 or 8 my dad started taking me fishing. Ever since then he hooked me on. He’s a trucker so he would leave home a week or two at a time so I had to sit home. But when ever he came back home he would always take me fishing. Sadly we don’t go fishing together as much anymore but I’m trying to pass it on to my little brother. He absolutely loves fishing after I hooked him on and loves it when I take him. All tho it may not always be easy to take him because he’s still learning and messes up every once in a while I absolutely love to spend time with him and teach him this wonderful sport and nature.

Hey Tyler!!!! My names Brody I’m a young fisherman. I started fishing 1 year ago today with my dad in this little pond and then I started to love it and now my pbs 8.12 and I’m a huge fisher man and I started my KZbin channel to not only catch fish and post it I started it to spread the word of god! And let’s just say in a million years I somehow got that reel I would give it to my dad because you know he’s always wanted a bait caster but has never had the chance to get one he’s always looking out for everybody else not him and so I would give it to him ❤ and my favorite memory with him is a recent one I was fishing a big swim bait and I hooked a 7 pound bass and when my dad netted him we both were so happy that’s probably my favorite thing that’s ever happened it wasn’t just catching the fish it was seeing how much my dad cares he could’ve been mad or sad because he’s never caught a big fish but no he looked at me and he said HOLY CRAP HES HUGE NICE JOB MAN. That’s when I saw that my dad was super caring. I know you probably won’t give me this reel Tyler but if you somehow saw this and did I would be so excited to give that to my dad😁 love your videos Tyler! God bless!❤️

My girlfriend and I just started fishing about one month ago. My favorite memory so far is her reaction when she caught her first bass. She was excited, scared, and sad all at the same time (I have a picture to prove it🤣. She hates the picture). Her previous fishing experience was when she was around 8 years old and she found a random stick as well as a left over fishing line with a hook and she caught a small fish (It died on her. That’s why she was worried about it happening again. The bass she caught recently remained alive and was released). Thank you for your videos Tyler. I’ve learned a lot! Everything from how to tie knots to how to properly fish different fishing techniques.

Now all of us go at least once a week, my wife, my daughter(4), my son(6 months) and i. Im not very good at fishing but love to get out there and give my daughter the opportunity to make memories. A few weekends ago i miraculously put us on top of a school of nice blue gills. My 4 year old daughter hooked into 5 bluegills and landed 3 of them. All over 8 inches long. Biggest bluegills ive seen in person. Love that i was able to give her the opportunity to catch some very nice bluegill on her little 3 foot long pole.

My favorite fishing memory had a rough start. As a little boy from a divorced family, I spent a lot of Saturdays sitting on the front porch waiting for a father whose addictions were stronger than he was. He didn't show up. But God gave me a bonus dad who would offer to take me fishing so I wouldn't sit on that porch all day. It took a few tries to get me off that porch, but I eventually took him up on it. It changed my life. He would take me fishing and let me fish as long as I wanted. Now 40 years later, I can't remember many of the fish we caught. But I can remember getting up at 4am...pulling out of the driveway with boat in tow and windows down...getting to our spot before the sun came up...then fishing until the hot Louisiana sun ran us off. To this day, when I meet a guy with an absent father...I take him fishing!

I’ve fished on and off as a kid. But got way more serious about it stumbling on my old tackle box. My favorite moment fishing is my wife catching her pb. I just rigged up a shaky head and set it down while I rigged her rod. She grabbed mine, cast it, paused, asked how she’s supposed to fish it, reeled a bit and said something like “dang, I’m snagged” followed quickly by “OMG it’s a fish”. Seeing the smile on her face is one of my happiest memories.

My favorite fishing memory was from when I was very young and did not have my own rod and reel yet, was out camping with my dad and we decided to walk the river. Came across an older guy fishing and I was interested I asked him some questions and next thing I knew he was shoving a rod in my hand (his only one) and gave up his evening of fishing to teach a complete stranger allowing me to catch my first bass. The kindness of that stranger allowed me to be introduced to the world bass fishing and that has stuck with me over the years, you never know the impact you could have on someone simply by showing a little kindness and patience.

My favorite fishing memory just happened this weekend. I grew up fishing. (South central louisiana its just part of life) but stopped in my mid teens. Came back to it in my mid 20s relearning everything. Went on a trip with my older brother and at 1am in the intercoastal he hooked up to a fish so big it nearly ran his entire spool and was pulling the boat around. Finally get it up into the boat and its a redfish about 3 feet long. Within a few minutes his childhood bestfriend hooked up to a slightly smalled red and i hooked up to a gaftop over 2 feet long. We all were laughing while trying to help eachother and fight our own fish. I grew up brim and bass fishing and had only been bass fishing since i got back into it. So that gaftop was the craziest fight ive had up until now. Cant wait to get something bigger

I didn’t know at the time that they only stocked trout and catfish. Meanwhile I had been watching nothing but bass fishing videos. So we get out there and I’m casting this spinning rod no fancy technique no fancy retrieval, just simply casting it and reading back in medium fast. We didn’t catch nothing that day, but the best memory was that my son was watching me the whole time, and he picked up the rod and started trying to cast also without opening the bale but having perfect form! All caught on camera! He couldn’t even speak, but he had a nicer cast than his dad! I never got to fish with my dad, but I made sure my son did!!! And the cherry of this story is the buddy of mine that tagged along got hooked by my two year old in the face! What lure ??? A crankbait and yes both trebles connected with skin but did not pass the barb ! What a relief! But I received more confirmation that day that making memories is always going to be golden ! Cherish every moment !

Man I got baptized a few months ago and don’t really like many fishing KZbinrs much anymore feel like I can’t relate not saying I’m better than the next man I’m sitting here watching trying to clear my head and I feel like I’m connected and there fishing some how if that makes sense I love the fact that you’re not scared to show your faith I appreciate your content and love your videos man very educational and always learning something new I respect the fact that you find a way to make time for Christ even when most would be money hungry you seem to put faith first and that’s why i think I’ve become more intrigued with your content keep up the work man you’re killing it. If you see this like the comment and have a blessed day buddy (My favorite fishing story) I think the most valuable and cherished fishing memory I have is fishing with my dad before he passed when I was 12 we were fishing for carp with some corn and it’s one of my last memories I have of him in good health we fished all day with no luck but the time I had not knowing it then but I’d give a million bucks just to go back for five minutes laughing and cooking beenie weenies over a fire by the creek bank laughing listening to music I was running around being loud and this old man convinced me the fish could understand me and hear me so I would sit patiently waiting for hours and finally went home not your best day of fishing but one of the best memories I had back in my day now I’ve been taking my nephew (his grandson) fishing with me past 2 years and I put him on his PB it was 7lbs and I wish I could show that man the fish we catch on that creek in that spot now but this is my story I hope anyone reading this has a blessed day and may blessing and healing for everyone and nothing but great things come cherish every minute you have with someone and tell them you love them Amen

My favorite fishing memory is when one day I went to a pond with my dad and cousin and we started killing the brim with worms crickets bugs on the ground and anything that would bite so we called up a lot of our family and I remember my Grandpa casting out his line and as soon as it would hit the water it would go under he would reel it up and I would take the fish off put a worm on and do it again. Tyler I love the content and I just found your channel about a month ago and after watching 2 videos I subscribed keep up the content.

I've only been fishing for about half a year but my favorite memory would have to be getting up super early on a saturday and going out to one of our favorite spots just before day break, my wife took an amazing picture of me in front of the water and then moments later I caught my pb, 5 1/2lb 22" long and our state record is 25" long. I was so excited and full of adrenaline that I had to catch my breath before releasing her. I owe it all to you Tyler! without your videos and teachings I wouldn't have gotten into bass fishing

I have one very special memory with my mom that trumps all. When I was about 8 or so (2016 ish) I was obsessed with fishing. Then, I didn’t have a lot of stuff going on and I would spend 9 hours a day fishing with whoever would come with me.Well, I had never caught anything big before and I even freaked out over small fish, but on this special Sunday afternoon, I felt something in the air. I woke up extra early and went down to his small pond with my mom and began fishing. I went up to a small peninsula with algae on the sides and took my first cast with a small chartreuse inland spinner, and I felt a huge tug like nothing I had ever felt before. I set the hook with my little meaty paws and starting yelling at the top of my lungs that I had a biggin, but remember how I said I always did that? Yup, my mom thought I was just crying wolf again and kept reading the newspaper on the bench . However, I knew what I had. I fought the fish for well over a minute, and I remember the fish flying out of the air with water going everywhere and its scales catching the morning sun like yesterday. After a forever struggle, I finally had my hands on the beast and strutted up to my mom with it in my hands and I will never forget the absolute shock on her face when I was holding up that 8 pound 4 oz behemoth and I felt like a rockstar for the next 3 weeks! I’m sorry for writing a novel, but I just had to share the whole story. I’m a high-school bass fisherman and a new reel would mean the world to me. Thank you so much for the opportunity and keep doing what your doing. I love your channel and you will definitely be huge in this industry one day!

Me and my grandpa always used to go to a trout farm when I was little, like 3 or 4. He recently has gone through some very tough stuff, and is not doing so well health wise, and he is the reason I keep on fishing even though I have bad days. He just wants to know my experiences and relive those days again.

I was lucky enough to get a picture of them with their catches, and they will forever be hung with pride in my family room. My oldest (11) is currently trying to master using a baitcaster. He’s doing ok with his cheap bass pro reel, but I think he would have more success if I won this reel for him. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻. It was me and my high school buddy aybram and we were fishing our first year of high school tournaments. This was the state IBF tournament and we have always struggled on this lake. We were about to head back from a day of practice and I casted into this sandy bottom and hooked up on a 4 pounder and then my buddy hooked up at the same time. We knew instantly that they were there. We came back tournament morning and pulled a 16 pound sack out of that corner which is a really good bag for how hard that lake is to fish. We got won our south series and got second in state with that bag. Best day of my life! (Patoka Lake btw)

My favorite fishing memory is very recent. My sons gave me a fishing rod and some tackle for my retirement. They’d been fishing the local lakes for a year and hadn’t caught a fish but loved it nonetheless. Before our first outing, I stumbled on your video about how to rig everything. I watched it and a others you made. First trip, first cast, I caught a small bass. Second cast, I caught another. I will never forget the look on my son’s face when he yelled to his brother, he just caught another f’ing fish and I was hooked. Thanks for all the great videos. My fishing favorite memory was with my dad. We would go fishing for bass, bluegill and carp just for fun and we would sit eating sunflower seeds, eating pork, rinds and enjoying drinking or iced teas or diet Coke for my dad, and just fishing the evening away, catching and releasing or catching whatever we were going to keep it was a fun thing that we did until he passed away. I still go bass fishing, and every day that I go bass fishing in the evening it just reminded me of those fun days when I’m eating sunflower seeds.

Lucky in Kentucky! I grew up near a small lake in Jackson, Ky. and had never fished. At the age of 10 I stumbled upon Bill Dance on tv. I watched untill curiosity got the best of me. I went outside and cut me a cane pole, got some line out of my fathers old tackle box. I dug some worms from under an old concrete block and went to the water. I landed about a 3lb. bass and fell in up to my knees. I have been hooked ever since. The next person I plan to take fishing is my beautiful 2 year old granddaughter Violet. Keep on helping everyone to learn to fish brother.

Congrats on $300,000! My favorite fishing memory is one of my favorite overall memories. Fishing with my Dad and launching our 16 ft aluminum out of Bluebird Fish Camp on the Sabine River. I learned everything I know about fishing from my Dad. The best and clearest memory I have of those times would be my Dad hooking up with a 4.5lb Bass and letting me reel her in. The best part was he let me tell everyone I did it all by myself! I wish I could the photo I have of that beauty. I’m going to take my Dad fishing next. I told him “I don’t have the patience for fishing” or “it’s to boring “. Eventually he asked me to join him and I said why not 🤷‍♀️ He gave me a light spinning combo with a small jig head and a curly tail grub taught me how to cast and reel it back in. The beginners luck was on my side and caught my first Pike ever and the rush I got from fighting a fish is was got me addicted. Il never forget that memory of us and now Ive been fishing for 6 years nonestop 🥰
