Bro I enjoy your channel so much because you fish places the exact opposite of me. I live in the Ozarks. I'm on Google maps looking for ponds in the middle of freaking nowhere. Over "mountains", through thick brush. Hell, I even fish abandoned man made ponds. Never anything in the cities though lol

Try a fishing spot called lake wood its somewhere in pheonix. I havent fished there in years but last time i did it was filled with bass,carp,koi,catfish,massive talpia, bluegill, etc. Good luck!❤

Man I got to say that I do love your videos but your fish handling and release practices are absolutely horrible you do realize that these fish have a slime layer on them that protects them against bacteria and disease which you are removing from them by scraping them up the sides of concrete laying them down in rocks and dirt and letting them flop around I have applauded Porter on almost every video for his fish handling skills as it seems he really does care about that aspect of it. Not everyone is perfect neither am I but I continue to watch your videos in hopes that you do improve your handling skills yet each video just seems to be the same thing if not worse in some. It's just my opinion and my two sons for what it's worth I know the fish would agree with me and hopefully some Anglers out there they know about proper handling skills a lot of this could be avoided by you having a net which you claim to never have in any one of your videos yet you need and every one of your videos or even just a landing pad or rubber sheet to lay them down upon when they hit the shore just some food for thought

I hear you totally. I could definitely be more careful about letting them hit the ground and dirt. However these fish are a lot more hardy than people think. Most fish regenerated their slime coat within a day after being released. Alot of these fish were in pretty soft grass, not really any hard surfaces. A rubber mat does help with dirt but they still lose the slime coat unless you have constant water running on it. Porter is my boy and not to hate on him but he drops fish just as much as me lol. Fish are slimy critters and man sometimes as careful as we try to be, they just wanna throw themselves everywhere. I have had a rubber net i have been using the last few trips that i got for my boat. That will help a bit.

Boats cost $$$ gas to get to the lake and for the boat costs money to launch, always need to buy something for the boat, trailer maintenance.
