Gabe, Rev. Paul, Eustis Florida. I commercial cat fished in my mid-teens with my dad on St. Lucie River, Rim Ditch, & lakes of St Lucie county. We put our lines up close to the bank and limb lines to trot lines. Up close in 6 inch & deeper worked best bro.

We get shad that flood up the Columbia River each spring. A few million will move up the river. They are a hoot to catch on light tackle. They make great crab bait, halibut bait, sturgeon bait.

A tip for you would be to use a double hook rig I use it and it is deadly and works so much better than 1 hook we fish the Altamaha river too. put the bait on the top hook and nothing on the bottom because catfish will slap at your bait and try to get it off the hook so if he try's to slap your bait it will hook him!!

This is the river I fish all though im usually about 12 miles upriver from Paradise Park. The Altamaha is a beautiful but dangerous river that has taken many a strong swimmer. Its a good idea to keep the kids in life jackets while on it

Gabe, just go raised garden beds. Make it part of the landscape....4x6's or 6x6's.....make 4x8 beds. Crops in the middle, herbs on the outside.....use laundry dryer sheets around the outside to discourage deer. Mushroom compost is a must for the soil. Use landscape fabric and mulch in between the beds to prevent weeds. Chaos is your forte!!

To clean catfish drill a 3/8"hole in your cleaning table for the side fins to fit in and it will stay on its side for you

Tomatoes are self pollinators.. Every time you walk by them just tickle the flowers and you will get more tomatoes than by relying on bees. I actually use an old vibrating toothbrush and I have almost 100% pollination.
