I like how the GT seat is that little bit more elevated than in the reload or 400. It still has the scuppers so it drains properly, but it's a totally dry ride even with my fat butt in the cockpit unless i flog it in reverse. Not having to use plugs or a seat insert to stay dry makes it perfect for getting out on these brisk winter mornings.

Sadly no option for a raised seat. Would rather be comfortable than have a cooler. Viking yet to discover the adjustable stadium seat.

great vid I use my profish for diving . What Paddle are you using at 3.05mins looks like a nice one ? looking for a paddle with more grunt till I get my bixpy.

Great review. I have been doing a lot of research and I am struggling to make a decision on what kayak to purchase. I am down to the Viking profish 400 or the profish Gt. I will be using it out at sea maybe about 2-3 miles out aswell as on lakes and rivers. What would you recommend?

Hi mate - where is out to sea for you? meaning where in the world are you is there a surf launch involved.. is 2-3 miles the total distance of the trip or is that how far from land you talking. what percentage of the time are you spending out to sea vs in the protected waters? and in those protected waters are you paddling far or can you get to the fishing grounds fairly easy so your fishing more than paddling? ... the reason for the questions is to understand your needs better, Profish GT stable for standing and casting, compact for tight water fishing but not fun to paddle far or in rougher water as it ploughs rather than slices, 400 cuts through the water better so would be a better choice if you paddling a lot more then fishing, not as easy to stand and cast hope that helps

@@PaddleGuy1 hi, I am over in the uk there is no surf involved at any of my launches. Would be a 2 mile paddle out and anchor up. Inland would be a possible drift fish and paddle up and down the river or lake to different fishing spots. Thanks for your info 👍 A few guys here in the uk are switching to profish Gt’s and they are selling there profish reload and ocean kayaks.
