Fishing off Country Creek Bridges (New Setup)

NEW CFA STORE creekfishingadventures.store/ Middle of February , hitting some of my favorite small creek bridges for multispecies catches. Trying to see how active the fish are during this mini warm spell. Also wanted to try out a new abu garcia vengeance pro series blue rod and using 15 lb braid line with 8lb mono leader. I have a couple of medium light rods now with braid line and i am liking the way it performs.

I used to love to fish under and around little bridges like that in northern NewJersey. I would always catch panfish, bass, and even trout. the one job I had I would drive all over the state. I kept a packable fishing pole behind the seat of my truck and i would take my breaks somewhere that had one of those little bridges nearby.

What knot are you using to connect your braid/leader? I’ve been messing around with the Albright knot but it doesn’t feed through the guides as well as a blood or double uni knot. Also seems to snag line on the spool more during a cast.

Our lake is flooded. We walk up in the creek heads with light weight gear and minnows. Killing the spots right now. As much or more fun than the boat. Average of 16" fish. Great fight on 6lb test👊

Glad ta see yer using "braid " with a mono leader now. I've been using " Nano Fil " by Berkley for a while now with mono leaders. Like ya said you can still use yer fav lures and not loose as many fish. That 6# Nano Fill will work great on yer " Ultra Light " for trout , plus. Good ta see yer not flooded out. Nice video! I made a fishing video the other day, but nowhere near as good as yours are lol. Went to Chickamauga Lake & then Wolftever Creek lol. 2 days, 2 fish lol.
