Experts aren't always right about everything lol. I've caught A LOT of flatheads on cut bait big and small. Several over 60# on cut bait. I guess just being at the right place and right time is key.

Hi Richard, I'm a disabled veteran and I have short attention span and short term memory loss. Many of your are okay for the length of time. When I get up and walk away from the tele, I often forget that I was viewing your video. Do you think that you could possibly keep your videos under 15 minutes? That's only if you can. I know that I'm alot. Thanks.

I'm hoping your scale didn't go much further than 38 pounds. Either that or you forgot to weigh the blue and last flathead. That blue had about 5-10 pounds on that first one but that humongous one was at least 55 but I'll say 60. Wow. I forgot to thank you for taking us with you. Richard, I have the best time fishing with you. Thank you.

That cold-front was "blackberry winter". Very important when blackberry is in bloom so as to "set fruit".
@ut000bs5 жыл бұрын
I learned that in East Tennessee but I'm an old-timer. Up here in Washington state blackberries are weeds. Took me a couple of years to get used to having to hack em out of the yard. They're all over the place. They're good, though. Back home we tended to not talk about blackberry patches around people who didn't know about them. ;)

That’s my favorite area to fish for flatheads. Since the beginning of May my clients and myself have caught 5 over 50 pounds, a dozen in the high 40’s and countless 20-35lb fish within 5 miles of that area. Had a couple break the line that were probably 65-75lbs judging by how they fought. All released to keep getting bigger. My most recent upload is a client with a 54.3 a couple weeks ago.

Yessir. I've been fishing Trilene BG for 20-some-odd years. I've used it all with an open mind, fluorocarbon, braids of all types and on and on the list goes; yet I always wind up back with Trilene mono. Dollar for dollar, a good mono will beat most anything. A lot of that other junk is mostly fad products anyway. I don't hate braid, I use it on occasion and it has its place, but pound for pound, good ol' fashioned mono does the trick 90% of the time.
