I’m 53 years old and have fished since I was a little kid. I have learned more about fishing since you started your channel than I ever have. You were the very first person I subscribed to when I started watching KZbin. Haven’t regretted since. You’re a true inspiration!!

OK THIS is EXACTLY what I was trying to figure out how to do. I wanted a slightly more active way to target catfish with lighter tackle, rather than just sitting and waiting. Love this idea, thank you.

Never!!!! I mean bill dance is a great fisherman no doubt. But no matter who you are and what you do its always somebody than you, hence richard gene the fishing machine. Lets have a vote on KZbin, dance or richard? I vote richard all day long.

Also I have watched dance my whole life and only learned about bass fishing a little bit. I have learned more in a month watching richard than I have a lifetime of watching dance so you tell me who the king is

BTW as rule to anyone new to cast nets.... don't loop your cast net end so that it can synch on your wrist. Even though the chance is low, if you get hung up, you may get dragged off your boat. Just put your hand through the loop. Stay safe!

Thanks, Richard, for another very good video. You're right, when you fish the bottom with cut bait, blood bait or anything similar, you're going to get something, usually a catfish. And if it is, no telling which species. I really don't know which I like to take the grandkids fishing for, crappie or catfish. Either is a blast with or without kids. Thank you for all your tips and advice and for sharing your knowledge and time with us. I hope you know how much it's appreciated. God bless ya'll and stay safe on your travels to these fishing adventures.

I use the same technique with a 7 inch leader with size 2 owner american baitholder hook and nightcrawlers with a splitshot and catch catfish. You can use the same technique using a santee rig or traditional Carolina rig.

Awesome thanks! This is what's held me back from catfishing . I always got ta be doin something... too antsy to traditional catfish. I've found a new deep spot in the creek and can't wait to try this method!
