@@dogstarfishing7570 I'd not been for weeks, but the fine weather and chance of a flattie lured me back out. I've had no joy fishing over the high tides, so it's back to the lows with some stinky black lug 😀

Nice 1, good start to the year. Im not great with mini species identification, could be a tompot blenny. Have caught many of them on the admiralty pier.

Cheers mate, I just looked up Tompot Blennys but while the eye is similar the fin along the back and markings are different, I have looked up all the Gobys but I couldn't tell which one it is

Recreational fisheries, including from shore, in ICES divisions 4b, 4c, 6a, 7a to 7k are limited to catch-and-release only during 01 January to 29 February and 1 December to 31 December. Oh good job you never took it home

It was too small anyway 35cm legal size in season is 42cm
