Fishing Team Puffer! In March on Oak Island, NC

March fishing on Oak Island, NC means two things, fishing and puffer! Winter is a tuff time to fish but as soon as March roles around so do the fish. In particular puffer and whiting. I personally am on Team Puffer!
In this video we will fish for some puffer, stop by Fizzy Jane's in Southport for a Sunday brunch, and ask Grayson of Grayson's Graphics to design the new Sands in the Surf logo!!

dogfish always make me think i have a slot red. lol still super fun to bring in . especially when you use light tackle. ive been fishing in the sound all winter. the surf used to be good 2yrs ago full of whiting. but the last two years have been slow in the winter surf. idk if its all the dredging or what. but its been rough in the surf. im ready for the pompano

Usually I would say puffer and whiting but yesterday I saw that someone caught a pompano which is crazy early. I’d still target the first two but there could be some small blues around.

Last I heard, the Williamson track was on hold due to the main financial partner backing out. Is that not the case anymore?

Can’t wait o be back in July. Just hope they build some parking instead of homes 😂😂 I also hope they don’t let it get too big. It’s the perfect amount of people and businesses imo. Don’t wanna scare the fish off like in Myrtle 😂
