Awesome Video! I just started river fishing from a kayak at 53 years old and absolutely love it after spending most of my life on big lakes with the gas guzzler and all the noise. Love the peace of it all. Thanks for the great video. Crossville.

wife and I just watched . as always very enjoyable to watch . wife asked a question , she noticed your lure box had a bunch of holes in it , for water drain i'm sure . but she asked why do you chose that box over a waterproof box like the plano with the red or blue gasket . thanks
@ChadHooverFishing6 жыл бұрын
Adventures101 I use the gasket type for the lures that I don’t have to worry about drying. For saltwater lures and ones that have hair, bucktail or any other natural fibers I use the ones with holes in it so that the lures dry quickly. I also use them for some of my saltwater lures so that I can rinse them in the box after a trip.

So I have just recently got into bass fishing. I have also just recently started using bait casters for bass fishing. I have the concept figured out a little. I don’t like fluorocarbon at all or mono. I do understand why using a fluorocarbon leader is important around wood and such and for using certain (underwater) lures. And I kinda can tie a double uni knot. But it doesn’t seem to go thru my guides easy. At least not yet. Would it be bad to use straight braid until I can learn to tie line to line knots better and learn to cast them bait casters easier? Tia

Hey Chad I've read that the best ways to store your kayak is either on it's nose, side, or upside down never right side up. Is this true? Can you do right right side up of you have bars that hold it up where the scupper holes are by chance? Thanks for you input!
@ChadHooverFishing6 жыл бұрын
Daniel Reddy If you can store it flat on a hard surface that’s the best overall. You can store it right side up as long as the bars are at least 30” apart for Most kayaks and if you can set the spacing correctly it is ideal to have them under the scuppers closest to the seat and where your foot braces end. That way, there isn’t as much of a chance for it to bow if they are too close or sag if they are too far apart. If you do store it vertically, stand it on the stern, not the nose
@dreddy51876 жыл бұрын
Chad Hoover Awesome thanks man! Yup stern not nose! So if I ran pvc along the scupper holes length wise it should act as a flat surface I think. I'm building a trailer that will have pvc bunks for the kayak. I'm wanting to make sure I can leave the kayak on it while it's being stored instead of having to take it off the trailer to prevent warping, if that makes any sense. Thanks again for replying, much respect! I really appreciate it!

OK fishing a river in Tennessee lol. I thought by the title wait the Tennessee River doesn't run thru Cookeville. I'm from Monterey TN. Itty bitty town up the mountian.. is this falling water river maybe?

@@ChadHooverFishing a lot of good fishing in the area. At least within an hour or so drive. Have calf killer and Caney fork to river fish dale hollow don't get much better for smallies. My brother is the lock operator on watts barr. Wave hi if you head up there lol. Good video chad. Thanks for a taste of home

Nice. I live just on the boarder of Putnam, Overton, and jackson county tn. About 10 miles north of cookville. I fish roaring river and Dale Hollow lake all the time. What river is the one in the video. I'd like to kayak it. Also I'm still deciding between the bonafide SS127 and the Jackson Coosa hd. Leaning to the Coosa HD since they are locally made.
