Great video. So easy to watch. Some great locations too. Well done nearly made on the leader board. Surprised to see ‘Shore’ fish beat the ‘Boat’ fish ! Always a good entertaining and interesting watch don’t worry about a few visual errors it didn’t spoil the watching. 👍🏻 Envious of those marks out there - where I live I have to drive for hours to find a rocky outcrop!!! Do you ever use sg pencils mate? I do really well on them up my way. A great lure for casting a long way over that shallow ground you fish. Fish rarely follow it they just smash it, ive had some great sessions when its flat calm when nothing else will take a fish. Love the video 👏

I’ve used them a few times in the past but not recently no. I gave the line thru sandeel a go when they first came out but didn’t really get on with them. I think I have a SG Pencil somewhere so I’ll have to give it another try. Cheers 👍🏼

@@FISHINGWITHCAL i honestly cant recommend it enough mate its crazy how good it is, round my way anyway. It outfishes everything i own by a mile and takes lots of decent seatrout too. The 19g fixed hook version-natural sandeel colour is deadly. Good luck if you give it a bash mate

Thanks. The measure was provided by the organisers of the comp. Usually I use a roll up measure because they’re a lot easier to carry around. I think it’s a Berkeley one.

Cal what distance do you think you're getting with the patchinko on that rod?

It’s hard to tell but a good cast will cover a lot of ground! Even against the wind. I also use a 70g Samson enticer on that rod and it’s seriously unbelievable how far you can cast that! There’s no way you’d hit those lengths with an 8/9ft rod in the wind.

The Samson Lures cast really well, my favourite is the Bomb but the Shad goes well too!
