Yeah I without a doubt I could see them working for European Seabass. They feed on similar forage as Stripers.

Its a great reel so far so good . definitely want to replace the bail with a manual retrieve still but the overall build of the reel is very nice. Only Time now will tell if it'll hold up.

Schoolie blitzing like Montauk had a while ago. NJ just starting to get a beach run of some what. I was there early this week. We use to have days like that a lot. This year has been frustrating for shore but nice to have days when you catch over 30 bass.

I would like to what do you do when a skoolie swallows the shad is there a technique to extracted it I do have pliers but I think my technique is flawed any advice you could share would be greatly appreciated

What I typically do is then grab them over the top of the head with my thumb on one side of the gill plate and my four fingers on the other gill plate it allows more room to get your fingers or pliers down the throat to push the hook back pop it out then pull it out. I also think the biggest mistake most people make is they just try and pull it out straight but we should all know to push the hook in reverse of the hook point direction to pop it out of the flesh and pull it out.
