I just found your channel and I love it! Hey, I live in St Pete Florida and I had seen your few episodes where you were fishing in Florida recently I wanted to let you know you should come back down in September during the Mullet Run on the east coast and just travel the beaches by foot or bike looking for giant schools of mullet migrating along the beach and then fish for 100lb plus tarpon from the beach. It can be a grind a lot of times but when the action comes it makes it worth every bit of waiting

Rich- Maybe if you throw em back so they hit the water horizontal instead of nose first less likely to hit the bottom head first? I've noticed sometimes when they hit the water like that they immediately start kicking dis-oriented and bang their head on the bottom- at least for me so I started throwing them more so they hit the water either on their side/belly or back Thanks- I enjoy the vids!

As always Rich great knowledge I love knowledgable anglers. Very true about fish habits too, masters of their environment, nature honed them that way. Fish have existed millions of years, Elasmobranche ( sharks ) some of the most perfected of all species on Earth. If we were fish we would also use wave and currents to hunt and of course to conserve energy too. Sadly I cannot fish that way anymore since a serious rta in 2018. My balance and poise are not what they used to be.😔 I'm currently struggling with severely bruised ribs from last Monday nights session at a south coast beach. I was walking back to rebait with my 16' extreme distance rod / reel combo, slipped on large pebbles coated in weed and didn't save my fall with my hands as was protecting my tackle. End result big fella hits hard and nearly broke my ribs that are none too good to start with. I had 12 pairs of my fixed ribs broken in my accident, went through a six hour thoracic surgery 'rebuild'. Both my lungs were punctured by shattered ribs, my left lung torn. So old silly fella has done himself in, no whacking whole squid out 160 yards for me right now. I did catch six smooth hounds, largest a shade over 8 lb though, and an undersize plaice. So battered n broken, missin the fishin. Tight lines Rich, thanks again for cheering me up.

Love the vids Rich.Here in the UK we use the Savage gear line through Sandeels for our Bass.They do sizes up to 175mm 1-1/2 oz.They cast for miles and are one the best imitations of a Sandeel you will use.I have great success with them in the surf.The large one would be great for your type of fishing.kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpLal3mXac6dfck
