Hey Brad! This is Mark, I met you at the perdido jetties last month and caught a big black tip shark with you and your son during your family photo shoot. My 2nd oldest son and family were down last week. Took him out on the boat under 3 mile bridge and he caught a 40 plus Black Drum bridge monster. It was great seeing the look on his face. He was happy.

I just talked to you at BBO about 6 hours ago. I was down there for 4 days and had about a dozen whiting, 1 Spanish Mackerel,1 bluefish and way too many hard heads during that time. It was great talking to you today and knowing that I wasn't the only one struggling. Keep up the great work.

Felt the struggle in Tampa today. Had 4hours kid free this afternoon and hit a few spots. Didn’t get so much as a nibble. Had a set rig with fish bites (didn’t expect much), and I was throwing 3,4,5” shady’s, gotcha plugs, xraps, and even tried some pomp jigs. NOTHING. I blame the jetskis and holiday traffic. Some days it be like that, hope it’s a better one next time man, tight lines!

I appreciate the failure videos as well as the successful ones. Only been shore fishing for a year, but I watch these videos to learn, occasionally recipes, and it's nice to know that much more experienced salt water fishers are also human and sometimes just can't get fish to bite.

Take the jib off the end of the bubble rig and replace it with a McDonalds straw and treble hook. Cut the straw to about 3-4" slide the leader through the straw and tie on the treble. Cast and just rip the bubble across the top. It acts like a mini cuda tube and the Spanish love it!

Brad, there are some out there that think you catch fish all the time, but it was awesome watching a video where you don't, That is why it's called fishing. It is a relaxing sport to people like us. And a learning experience. Great video 😊 That could be a great idea for the future podcast with you guys. I bet it will get great reviews.

It's not a relaxing sport, it's bloody frustrating as all hell because you can't catch the bloody things and you get snagged , loose your gear, bird nesting a reel don't get me started but when you go home you feel all calm and relaxed because you took out all your frustrations on the fkn fish.

Hey Brad, great vid! I watch everything all four of you guys put up (the usual suspects). I love when you guys kinda explain your gear a bit. Some of us are enthusiastic about fishing but lacking skills. These help! Also, never quit the catch and cooks. At least for me it adds a huge entertainment value. I wouldn't have a prayer fishing against any of you guys but I'm pretty sure I could out-cook the lot of you. Well. maybe not Brant's wife but I would make toast outta the rest of y'all..LOL

I used to reel a bubble rig as fast as I possibly could with a silver spoon with a single hook, not the treble hook. The only issue was it pretty much killed every fish we caught because it tore most of the gills out. The good thing is they were bled out good.

I’ve been going fishing at Perdido Beach , caught two hard tail using Xtrap lure that you guys recommended. It’s been really hot especially early in the morning, I go fishing at 5:45 by 6:15 it’s been scorching hot that might affect fishing. 1991, on the Firehole River in Yellowstone NP, blue damsels were hatching off, 20 ft visibility in crystal clear water, 1 to 3 ft trout coming out of the water to eat, not one fly out of the hundred in the fly box looked anything like a blue damsel...didn't catch a thing. Know those days well.

I feel your pain. I was out on the reef off 30A last Sunday and had 3 big hook ups, but got broken off on structure. I was out on the reefs off Henderson State beach yesterday and didn't get one bite. Its been a struggle to catch a snapper or even a King this year. I'm going to try the reefs off 30A again this week otherwise I'll make the trek out to Navarre beach and try my luck out there. I enjoy your channel. Keep the content coming.

Sometimes the perfect outdoors life can be a little tough to live. It just reminds you that perfection is what you make of it. Such as instead of having that mindset of it being a grind look at it from the prospective of a 14 year old boy, whereas we know at 14 boys basically go to war against fish and game in an effort to prove themselves. Do something crazy that even may seem wrong. It may not get you a fish but it will get you a video and most likely a video that will do good.
