Bro, this video is actually awesome man!!! We all have processes to gearing up but its' good to get more ideas one what is really needed. I gotta get one of those rod cases. I just had TSA destroy 1300.00 in Rods on a trip to Florida using s Flambeau Bazuka Tube... really sucked. Ever had an issue like that? Do you use all 2 pieces? I know Diawa has some 3 pieces.

I prefer two pieces so no 3 piece and I used to have a bazooka case but it was squishy from the side so once I found this made the switch. Yeah it’s good 👍 never had an issue.

Im a bass fisherman and im curious why the larger hooks dont have barbs

Hi Mate, they’re specifically for GT (giant trevally) a big hard fighting fish with a hard bony mouth that you almost always fight with locked drag and full pressure or they’ll smoke you, so barbless is easier to penetrate their hard mouth but also nicer to the fish if they bust you off (with barbless they shake the lure free) and it does less damage to them where you hook up. They’re pretty much 100% catch and release species in Australia 👍

It raises the spool slightly, so by adding them or taking them away you can adjust the taper of the line when you spool it. Higher spool = more line on the bottom, lower spool = more line on top.

would the light lures sink or why didn't you beef up the hooks? cause it seems like bend hooks is the N.1 problem with landing bigger fish on light tackle, if I can't go super heavy(BKK Rapto Z whisch can be overkill unless you use disproportionally heavy line) but at least a BKK Raptor X won't be super heavy and still rarely bend

Hi Mate they have BKK hooks out of the pack and when I throw them it’ll usually be on a super light setup (PE0.6-PE1 with 8lb-20lb leader) so my drag should be light enough not to bend the hooks 👍

Briggsy is there a reason that you opt for daily contact lenses instead of weekly or monthly? Curious as I’m struggling to find comfortable contact lenses. I’m also using Acuvue Daily’s at the moment👍

Hi Mate, I only wear them when fishing or other sporty stuff apparently the plastic they’re made of isn’t good for you so I try to only wear them when I have to. The main reason for daily is on trips I want fresh/clean lenses every day to avoid infections. But yeah they’re always annoying and I’m definitely keen to get eye surgery sometime soon!
