COooooorect. Spy Bait indeed. You can straight retrieve, pause and wind and with a high speed reel you can keep it up like a wake bait. It'll boogie, but it'll get absolutely crushed when fished that way in the right conditions.

That particular lure is definitely a spy bait or prop bait. Use that on a spinning setup with 5-8lbs line. The key to using a spy bait is to cast it out and let it fall to the desired depth. Once you reach the desired depth all you do is slowly reel the bait in so that it wobbles side to side. It is designed for suspended fish. It is extremely effective on smallmouth but largemouth will hit it also.

Hey LoJo, I think that fluke’ish bait is a saltwater bait. I use that same color for inshore reds and specs when they’re honed in on bait fish. It’s also a great lure for peacock bass in Miami.

I have two of the Arashi spybaits. They work great . Best used on spinning reel light line . Usually a winter time , and pressured fish bait for me . It shimmies as it floats down. Fish it yoyo style. Really good clear water bait as well.

Loren, I'm convinced the experience of a fisherman far outweighs the bait he uses. But, I like seeing that with cheaper bait, you can still catch fish. A quality lure does increase your probability though. For me it's worth the extra expense. Great tools do the best job.

I have to agree on the rating for the terminator spinnerbait. I bout one when they 1st came out and being that the wire is titanium my line slide down to the blades on 1st cast and the wire straightened, all blades n beads came off, but i didn't lose the lure. It had good vibration though.

If I had to guess the swiveling line tie on the clipless is so when you hit a log or stump with the nose the tail swivels up so chooks don't get snagged. And the fluke style is called electric chicken. They make a crappie lure that color and it gets slayed KTBTV did a video and crappie slayed it. Terminator made spinner baits. The shaft is flexible it's so when fish hits it it flexes instead of bend
