Good stuff! Reminds me of my childhood (let's just say 1/2 a century ago) with an old net, catching bluegill and rigging them just like you do - always works! Funny, as a kid I used to gig frogs at night and then catch as many big bluegills as I could at sunup and my dad would cook up the best breakfast, oh man frog legs, bluegill, country fries, sausage and eggs. oh boy, guess I lost the point here....lest I digress - I was fishing bluegill just for fun one spring eve when a storm popped up- ya, we should go in when the lighting is striking - but I hook into a small bluegill and while reeling in this giant largie blows up out of the water and smacks the bluegill - guess someone above was on my side that night and I landed a 5lb large mouth! From that night forward (ya, again over 50 years ago) I rig a bluegill. cant apologize for this lengthy comment, us old timers love a good story, when we're telling it LOL - GOOGAN!!!!!!
