The perch on the pier with the lateral line was a white perch, we get them here in the NE. They are a related to the striped bass.

Thanks Adam. Don’t know how expensive those shrimp were but trying different baits and artificial lures makes for a challenge. Keep up the grind my friend. Richard from Menifee, California 🙏

We need more multispecies videos for west coast fishing youtube! I suggest high-low rigs with shrimp or lug worms for your next trip to the jetty or pier. Though the fish yield isnt as big as stripers and lings, its very nice to see a variety of fish being pulled up rather than all just one of the same species at a larger size. Regardless great video, and yes that was a white seaperch.

Im pretty sure a 1/4 oz pompano jig tipped w/shrimp, clam, squid, fishbites, etc. would be so much easier to cast and manage. thats how I fish the surf in florida. enjoy the content.

Does this rig work just the same if you are using frozen shrimp vs live shrimp? When using it, are we basically just letting the wave action toss the bait around the same way it would for anything churned up in the sand?

Question why you just invest in a small bubbles air pump you get from Academy sporting goods they cost about 5 dollars runs on battery that lasts for for at 3-4 trips and keep the water cool you golden bro . They will stay live for long time. Try it you’ll like it ! Good luck!
