I went here this weekend, and the portions you see in the video are REAL. Its an insane amount of food and it was all really good. Piece of advice, you need a group of 4 as a minimum, there are no small dishes...

i thought that was susur lee.. i went to his restaurant on king street west (i think it's not there now) and it was probably the most unique and perhaps best meal i've ever had. the amount of prep work involved would have been staggering.... mikey chen brought me here. the lobster tower.

Gimmicky, over-greasy, ho-hum tasting food plus service with attitude....etc, rendered this barely acceptable place,10 years ago, to a place to avoid, for seasoned local foodies nowadays. Infusion of greedy business practices by implementing ways to squeeze out every single penny in profits are huge warning signs! Case in point......comparing with other competitors, FLC overcharged, by a factor of 3+ , for the ' salted duck egg yolk ' ingredient used in their rendition of this preparation option ' ( during the same time period, O'Mei offers this method of preparation for free!...the resulting product also way tastier! ). FLC's Hong Kong Typhoon Shelter style preparation is also a joke! Instead of using the traditional, more exotic but expensive, ' Crispy Fried baby Silver Anchovies ' as garnish for the Lobster tower, CHEAP COMMERCIAL FROZEN FRENCH FRIES are used as replacement to save cost and way to beef up the height of the tower for more visual appeal. FRENCH FRIES in an authentic, traditional CANTONESE dish! Are you kidding me?! Imagine ordering a bowl of Tonkotsu Ramen with Char-Siu in Tokyo and getting a bowl of instant noodles with SPAM instead?! Caveat Emptor!
