Got mine today and installed on my shecter c1 cat eye with the fishman power bridge. I only got to play it for a few minutes but it's amazing to be able to make huge synth sounds on guitar. Amazing guys!!!!!

Thank you so much for this update, maintaining older but very very capable hardware is a great way to keep costumers. The ability to change mono to poly channel with the double press is brilliant! Easy transpose also looks useful. The utility it self is very easy to use. Just a little request can you make the metal bracket of the connect available to purchase (in the EU)? The magnetic plug is much more useful if you can easily change guitars. Best.

I’m excited to get the wireless version and wondering what the equivalent of your older Compose/Progression 2.0 software would be? Is it Notion 6? Is there a truly integrated user-friendly lead sheet type functionality where one can sing in the audio vocal while playing in the midi guitar accompaniment, and have the app output a proper lead sheet with lyrics embedded? Sorry for the myriad questions, I know you guys must have iterated many versions over the years. Thanks

@@boimesa8190it does yes there's a clip about it from 10 years ago. The tripleplay tracks everything, bends, vibrato, even harmonics. Therefore I think it also supports MPE for some synths. This is the real deal

@@boimesa8190 No polyphonic pitch bends, no cc74, it's a standard legacy midi with the capability of sending each string on a separate midi channel (very helpful but it's not MPE)

Please add if it’s possible to fit to left handed guitars into the FAQ, and if it is please also add illustrations to the installation instructions. Itd be good to see what’s meant to be done with the weird lump at the top that would stop the pickup being added flush to a left handed bridge. Are we meant to mount it upside down? Do we have to change any settings to adjust for this? Please show pictures and video of it working on lefty guitars if that is an intended application, thanks.

Hi! TriplePlay Host software runs both in standalone mode and as a plug-in, so it can be used with or without a DAW.

The utility mostly duplicates the options/preferences in the tripleplay software but what about splits? You can choose 1 channel of channels 1 - 6 but what about a split and channels 11-16?

TriplePlay Utility does not have a way to adjust the splits. But you can adjust the virtual instruments settings to only trigger on certain MIDI channels, then adjust key range to create splits on your own, though it will depend upon the capabilities of the virtual instrument settings. Some DAW’s can filter key ranges per track, so check the instructions to see if yours has the capabilities.

- I’m using gig performer and so your idea for splits is possible. Clever idea! But what about channels 11-16 for splits? I think it’s easier in the regular Tripleplay app. I use several different hardware modes like smooth, trigger, different sensitivities and splits. I send a program change to the Tripleplay controller as I change patches and that calls up my required hardware settings.

Steel string acoustic yes - the strings need a steel core . You have to up the sensitivity a bit on the wound strings.

They do. Humbuckers sound like Humbuckers and single coils sound like single coils. You cannot point out a single 'fishman' sound in a recording.

I bought a triple play several years ago and although setting up the software and samples was an absolute horror show, once I got it set up, the sounds were great. After a while I had to get a newer laptop, and to my dismay I found that Fishman let their licenses lapse with the various sample companies and the only thing they had available to install was a set of truly horrendous wave table style, cheesy synth sounds. I mean these sounds are simply awful, like an 80’s Casio keyboard. This really turned me against Fishman. They sold me a product that simply did not deliver what they promised it would deliver. I’ll go over to their website and see if anything has changed, but my expectations are low.

We've made several improvements over the years to drastically simplify the setup process for the VST Host application. The real highlight of this release is the Utility app, which effectively eliminates all of the complexity of patch setup, etc. making it particularly useful for users who already work in a DAW with their favorite synths and plugins. Unfortunately, the 3rd parties who supplied sounds originally bundled with TriplePlay discontinued those products and refused to allow us to continue distributing their software. Fortunately, the number of options for both free and paid sample libraries available these days has grown enormously.
