When the hood is raised and locked it can be released using the provided clamp handle on the inside of the right hinge. Any attempt to push the locking pin from the outside is a risk of pinching.

Thanks for for sharing to all of us Ocean owners who love our vehicles and are hopeful for our future service needs….

Stop being hopeful and start being realistic. The company has already told US techs to stop working on customer vehicles and to shift focus on preparing inventory vehicles for sale instead, on top of dramatically reducing the number of techs it employs. You’re on your own.

So please take your opinion somewhere else where people care to listen to it.

Thanks! There is a button on the hood latch that you can press to lower the hood, on the other side of the same latch mechanism you touched. Do the same thing with lifting up the hood slightly, then press and hold the latch to release it while lowering the hood down. Also I have found that a small portable jump starter works, like a Schumacher li-ion model (there are other brands too).

Excellent video, very clear directions do very useful. Question. After this do the back most doggie windows need a Fisker tech to recalibrate? If so will a future OS be accounting for this so owners can recalibrate without the need for a tech. Also, just in case this happens and if we do loose control of the back window we might want to make sure that every time we park that the all windows are closed. That way if we have to do this and we loose control of that back windows we wouldn’t be driving with it constantly down.
@atlantaviper5 ай бұрын
@DaveDarin If your Ocean dies then the doggy windows will stop working when trying to use California mode, and can only be reset by a technician. I would ALWAYS park your Ocean with the windows rolled up to prevent being stuck with them rolled down.

Excellent instructions you're a good teacher. How often does this happen? Does this pretty much mean you have to drive around with that jump box?
@atlantaviper5 ай бұрын
@mikeintampa250 It'd be pretty hard to drive around with a jump box knowing that if your car dies you have no way to access it in order to jump your car. How often does it happen? Not often if you're good about making sure your car stays charged.

If Fisker had waited to launch the Ocean, it would just be getting released now June 2024 with OS 2.1 software updates during huge downturn in the EV sector, which was one of the reasons Fisker went bankrupt the 1st time. CEO speaks at Auto Tech Summit in India this week, looking for news. FSRN up 3 % week.

Sean, my FOB is non responsive. I had to use the back hatch release button to get in, &crawl through. Drivers side door unlocked worked & I hit the doors to unlock. However the charge door hatch won’t open. I opened the hood & connected the charger. My alarm was going off. Now my horn is honking. What do I do? Thx

After owning my Fisker Ocean Ultra six months I noticed that when every I get in my Fisker in the morning in side my garage the temperature inside my car is very warm. Is this normal with all electric cars? - is the heat coming from the battery pack while sitting in my garage over night? - I never experienced this with my Gas car. It’s always cool inside this car.
@atlantaviper5 ай бұрын
That's a great question that I'll work to find an answer for. I experience the same thing when driving mine.

some modules are not shutting down.your ocean is not going to sleep.you can see it as so called vampire drain on your hv percentage.since 2.1 mine has 0% drain over night sometimes 1% if it receives data from home and charges the 12 volt now and then...

Good work but the irritation is why should a brand new Fisker Ocean even have the need to be so-called jump started. Regardless of anything I still do believe that this Fisker brand really went in such a positive direction and people just weren't ready for it on both sides of that spectrum. On a design aspect in my own personal opinion No other EV has caused me to have the desire to purchase one NO OTHER! This is coming from a fuel guzzling gearhead

The company should have never put out a product that wasn't properly tested. It was rushed and has resulted in the second failure of Fisker.

Initially my 12V was dead. FOB totally non responsive. Changed the FOB battery, didn’t help. I opened the hood & attached the charger as shown. But once I did, the alarm started going off. It cycles with the horn going off. What should I do?
@atlantaviper5 ай бұрын
@ljames7724 If the battery is dead and you were able to follow these steps to get it jumped, the key fob is non-responsive even with a new battery, and now the horn is sounding as part of the alarm function, simply walk up to the driver door handle and place the key fob against it. The NF function will unlock the car and that will disengage the alarm.

It’s not as bad as it might look. If I’m not talking through it while making a video, I can have it apart, jumped, and back together in a matter of minutes. If you’re an Ocean owner, it’s imperative that you learn this so that you’re not stuck without service in the very near future.

@@chealay7251 if you let the car die to the point where it has to be jumped, the doggie windows will stop functioning when using California mode, and unfortunately that’s not something that you as an owner can calibrate. That requires a tech with a fast tool.
