I had the same reaction. Bought mine just to support Eagle and for fun, went and threw it just to laugh at myself, and almost took out a window when it went 100ft further than I was aiming for. WTF, threw it a few more times, went back and bought another. Cool disc. Was also surprised in Eagle's Euro summary, he mentioned using one in a tournament for his forehand disc.

From my experience, you should always try Fission discs out in lower weights. Say a 165g and even a 155g when it comes to drivers. More effortless distance with better glide, and better anhyzer angle retention WITHOUT the unpredictable understability that's typically associated with microbubble discs.

I agree that the numbers don't really make sense. I've got the 157g version. I'm a mile above sea level (so everything is more overstable), and I'm only releasing at about 56mph (thus nowhere near 14 speed), and it still goes a long way. I can't flip it up without a headwind, but it'll still go straight for a long way, then fade out slowly while still pushing forward. I often find it sitting next to my much more glidey discs (Spectrum Air D2's, D3's, and Shrike). Makes me wish I had the arm speed to really do it justice, or maybe if I could just throw it at sea level. I also have a Force and Ballista Pro (both 0 3's) and they are true meathooks compared to this disc. I'm thinking it would make more sense at about 12 5 0 2 and it has some turn if you throw it faster than 12.

Good info. I really like this 175g at sea level. I have heard the lighter weights at sea level can get pretty flippy.

Would love a rangefinder with numbers on the screen for your throws. having estimates of 375-400+ is a pretty big gap.

A fast disc with glide 5 and turn 0 is likely not a meathook. Discs like that very useful for everyone who wanna be throwing far in strong headwind even with average arm speed. I have a weird thing that I can actually throw e.g. a Stiletto (13/5/0.5/5) just as far (410ft) as I can throw a Nuke, Enigma or a lite sub 160g Wraith, or a Wild Honey. What I cannot throw that far is Destroyer because of reasons unknown to me. Ok, I have to give the Stiletto a flex and for the Nuke a bit too while the rest of them I hyzerflip. Fast discs are very predictable in their movement. Blizzard Ape 145-152g used to be my go-to distance disc years ago but mine are somewhat wore down. I think I'll bag a disc like Ballista Pro myself just in case but this is interesting too.

BTW the Fission Time Lapse is "different" from regular Time Lapse, it has a lower parting line height, and that's why they're so understable (IMO -2 or -2.5). Is this disc available in some other plastic you could compare it to?

I agree, but to be fair the non-Fission version of the Dimension is accurate to those numbers. Fission makes discs a bit more understable (most of the time).

How would you compare it to a innova Corvette?

Corvette is more flippy. Less torque resistant, and feels slightly smaller in the hand aswell. If you can bomb like 450-500, the dimension should go slightly farther but honestly the corvette is more usable and flexible to different shots

Definitely comes out of the hand fast like a Corvette. I still think the Dimension goes just a touch further. But, they are similar.

More weight in the rim meaning more spin is a myth. It means more rotational inertia. Meaning it's harder to get it spinning quickly, but will hang onto spin longer.

That is correct, but i doubt it comes out with less initial spin when its a human hand throwing it. You dont feel any drag or difference when throwing a overmold to a regular mold disc.
