Hi Matt, When installing your icon aal, did you have to take off the 1/2” block thats on the rear of the trd pro or you left it on there?

Awesome set up! Have a lunny pro 21 as well. Tires how are the ko2’s. Road noise? I’m on the fence on ko2’s vs Toyo open country. Any thoughts much appreciated

I went with KO2s because they were known to have low road noise and I can confirm that they minimal road noise. Then again, all of the other stuff on my truck is so noisy that it could be drowning out all the road noise. Lol

Since running this setup, did you notice a drop in MPG? Also, is there any negatives in additional wear and tear on the car? Also how is the ride quality after this setup? Super informative video! I really want to upgrade to 33’s with the West Cot lift kit, your setup looks great!

Nice video Matt! I have the same truck ‘21 TRD Pro Super White, Westcott lift, add-a-leaf, with RSI Smartcap. This was very helpful for when I decided to get 33s. Not sure if I can wait much longer.

Matt, I have the same truck, '21 TRD Pro. I know you don't need to change the UCAs when you do the Westcott Lift, but wondering if you feel any differences? I was opting to put some SPC or Total Chaos UCAs after my installation. Thoughts?

It might sound weird, but I actually thought the suspension felt better after adding the Westcott lift. UCAs are optional with the Westcott kit...I did not need them. My was able to get everything aligned within factory specs and no rubbing. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching

I’ve heard that with the money saved by getting the OFF ROAD I can add better suspension, better wheels and more and have exactly what I want. Help a newbie out… is this true. Thank you

How do you like the ride with the Icon AAL over stock? I currently have the block from Westcott Designs in the rear but want something that won't sag much with a bed rack and rooftop tent.

I love the ride of the AAL. However, after the summer of carrying heavy loads, the AALs seem to have permanently taken a set. Very disappointing. I’m currently looking for an upgraded heavy duty leaf pack

If you just have a rack and tent, you might be ok….but if you take a few trips with a heavy load in the bed, the AALs may sag

@@mattstacotruck I won't be carrying any heavy loads other than a tent and camp/roadtrip essentials, either way I'm sure they'll be a much better upgrade than the Westcott blocks that comes with the kit and the stock leaf pack that as already almost fully flattened unfortunately... thanks for the info!

What load rating did you get for the KO2s? Interested if you went with Cs or Es and if you noticed and difference is ride quality or handling. Planning on getting the same exact rack setup and carrying some kayaks, so i'm on the fence on which load rating to get.

Depending on your wheel and tire choice, you may notice a difference. I definitely did notice a difference in both acceleration and deceleration. My tires are E rated and very heavy.
