I think it doesn't have one. Unless you buy additional parts. So, once car is shut off there is no recording. Also in other videos people complained that after installation some safety features were disabled. Like Lane assist etc. The guy complained that he had to bring the car to the dealership to reset it. Looks nice... but I am still thinking... the last thing I want is to pay the dealer to reset my car and mail it back for refund.

Sure dear. You don't need to keep the camera connected while driving, because the camera will automatically record in the background after the car is started. You only need to connect it when you need to watch the video. So it won't affect your use of CarPlay or Android Auto

I'm not sure but like most devices, you create your own password. You can go into settings at anytime and change your password. That's why the guy in the video chose 12345678. It was just for instructional purposes.
