Elytras can fly up to about 7 mins stock. It could easily travel 10k blocks given its speed. Theoretical max speed is 156m/s.

How do the End Islands change anything ? (Except visually, i know, it would look cooler to see a base just floating with nothing around it. But except that ? Do they make it easier to find your base, or what ?) Edit: You can just play on 1.8 servers, problem solved (whatever it was) Edit 2: Im sure there is a server out there that knows how uncomfortable End Islands are and simply destroyed them. Eventually you can always destroy them yourself. (It will be a lot of work without commands, but still.)

If his flying machine can go 8km/h, it means that he travelled 8000m in an hour, which means that he moved 28,8 m/s, which, again, means that he flew 28,8 blocks per second, so nah, not just 1 block But then again, slower flights allow for more carpet bombing and more destruction

As I see it, the game (particularly the end) was way more mysterious and cruel without the wings, when everybody was figuring out how to do certain things with flying machines and there were no islands there. The landscape changed since then, So did we. Fun times. I miss the 1.7 beta too.

How? xD You just have to be prepared and not rush. Ofc an Ender Chest half full of cobble and cobble generating equipment could be useful too. And if you are in the End, you should have spare equipment. Otherwise why do you risk it.

@@barnabonker Why I risk it? On servers if you dont get the wings quickly it will take wayy longer to get your first pair of wings. I dont have too much of an issue going through the end, I almost never die even with iron gear, but sometimes it can be a pain after 3 hours of searching or if you do die. No matter how good you are in the game, you will eventually die in the void with a crap ton of stuff. If you dont agree then you likely have not played enough for it to happen.
