I once bought an 8 stack pulley jungle from this location for $1000 that had a broken pulley holder. Got a friend to fix it for $50 then painted it for $10 in black paint and sold it for $7000...

Leonard Davis I started training at the Venice Golds in 2002. For me it has been and always will be the best training facility I've ever sweated like hell at !! Everything about it, weather it be the equipment or the atmosphere, you are going to train very highly motivated!!!

I lived in Santa Monica and trained here. There is no place like it anywhere, and sure, you'll see famous people in there working out, but everyone treats it like the neighborhood gym. I've met Arnold, Lou Ferrigno, Robby Robinson, Lionel Richie, Roddy Piper, Big Wave Legend Laird Hamilton & his wife Gabrielle Reece. There were days where I'd see Actor James Caan, and he'd always greet you with a warm hello. 'The Rock' Dwayne Johnson would ask to work in with me on whatever machine I happened to be on if he needed it. Probably one of the nicest people you'd ever meet, and he always asked if I would sell him the '64 Ford Falcon I was driving at the time. Mike O'Hearn was always around, and he was always happy to give people great advice on what to do and how to do it properly. You won't be disappointed with Gold's Venice!

I had an event in High School which was sort of like the Bodybuilder kicking sand in my face. I was never naturally athletic and I thought I liked sports but had no clue as to how to reach the next level. In many ways bodybuilding - even if you are not Mr Olympia Material - can be a savior to many young men who want to improve their discipline and their lives. Yeah, I've had more people laughing at me than applauding... but as one of my teachers once told me... if you have to ask "how long" it takes to become fit then maybe you don't want the journey. Just keep working and working out and you should improve.. with time, effort, energy desire and everything else it takes.

I've worked out several times there when I stayed in Venice. I remember the guy in the beginning at 0:12 who has deleted my footage on the GoPro lol. Stan and dirk are there pretty much every day. However, I wouldn't say it's like a 'big family' as there are some pretty arrogant guys. On the whole, great place to work out. If you can't find motivation there, you need to change your hobby.

Lo mejor de esta locación es: que para que los que se lo toman en serio ,es el único lugar donde empezando de cero puedes progresar el doble o triple pues salvo los visitantes los mejores de cada categoría están ahi,eh increíblemente todos están prestos a ayudarte si les preguntas incluso charles Glass o ex- olimpia competidores free of charge .tips que de otro modo jamás los sabrías, nutricionalmemte ,mental o técnica depurada ,simplemente viéndolos aprendes muchísimo. Gold's gym used to be about strength and determination. Gold's gym now is commercialized and is just like all other gyms, no noise, everything is clean and nice and more focus on being "comfortable" than actually getting stronger. Sad.
