On my V36 G35x, got Continental ExtremeContact on 18" Moda Rims. Love it, amazing setup for Montana summers and winters. My Acura RDX has stock rims with Continental PureContact tires. Not as impressed with their winter performance but I'm pretty sure they're a highway tire so it is what it is.

Firestone Indy 500’s are one of the most slept on tires. They handle amazing in everything besides snow. Amazing handling with superb water evacuation. I work for Bridgestone of America and I hate it when I don’t see them mentioned anywhere cause they are genuinely awesome tires.

Thumbs up for Hankook ventus 2's ... I've been riding on them for about 50K miles on my wrx Daily and they still have a couple seasons of tread left and were very reasonably priced. Good in snow rain summer anytime! I blew out about 5 or 6 stock dunlop tires from potholes before researched options then after I switched I haven't blown one hankook yet (knock on wood)

I just sold my first wheels today but I had some brand new Lexani LXUHP207s in 245/40/18. I absolutely loved them. They gripped in every situation. Never was able go get them loose like I could on my stock wheels with 205/60/16 tires.

I got 225/40R18 Yokohama Advan Sport v105s, paired with 18x8.5 +22 Cosmis MRII on my Cobalt and they're sick. Given, that they're the only wheels/tires I've actually thoughtfully researched and planned out, so I don't have much else to compare to but still, they're awesome. They have hella grip for really anything you can get away with on the street/highway, and while they have a fairly basic tread pattern, I do personally love the look of it.

Toyo celsius is an amazing tire for the price as well. They have more focus towards that 4th season too, they practically sell themselves in Connecticut where I work. A bunch of the people who work there including me run them on our cars too.

My set up on my 2020 Corolla se is the Toyo extensha HP 2. I had them for about a year and 4 months. They are a bit loud and wear is pretty good. I hit the canyons on the weekends they've held amazing so far. They brake well also. Looks are amazing too. I would recommend these 10/10.

I used to have Michelin Pilot Sport tires on 18" TSW Mirabeau wheels. They were the best tires I ever used, they had INSANE grip and were also very smooth. Only downside is they don't last very long. Totally worth it though! I'm currently using Dunlop Direzza DZ102 tires on 20" Work Durandal wheels (As Alex would say, "Stretchy bois"). This setup is still pretty good and sits flush on my Q50 but still will never compare to how great the Michelins were.

@@jralphroman because it is miles ahead of any other tire you can buy besides a full competition tire. they are absolutely worth the money. dual compounds for both wet and dry weather, very quiet, almost infinite levels of grip, etc. they are 100% a bang for your buck. bang for your buck means best value for money, and with the Pilot 4s you are absolutely getting what you pay for.

@@jralphroman Michelin is known for their treadwear, construction, and performance that doesn't fall off as much as other tire companies as the tire wears. It is for all practical purposes a improved pilot super Sport. Sometimes you actually just do get what you pay for. The Continentals are really nice as well but the wear isn't as good so the price difference when you factor in your time, purchasing, installing, taxes, etc it seems like the Pilot Sport 4S costs at least the same if not less. Plus you can wait for them to have their typical $70 set of 4 rebates. Another part of why the pilot 4S look so expensive is because they only come in larger sizes. It's one of the reasons I can't run them in my current project and will have to use Extreme Summer tires which will outperform them, but not be nearly as durable. 215-235/40/17 is somewhat of a black hole of choices so we get what we can and hope they aren't discontinued in the future.

same with my all season w rated nitto’s on my daily 14’ taurus , great in the snow and ice and have saved my life nearly putting the back end out at 120+ on high roads. 40k miles later and still have some life left. think i paid 270 a tire. They’ve been amazing at reducing understeer 255/45/19. i have a 15’ q50 too with 245/40/19 pirellis and they are pretty decent.

Haven't had a good experience with the hankook in the wet. Got pretty tired of em. Then a coworker talked me into the contis, and they were amazing by comparison. Might've helped I went a little wider both in tire size as well as wheelbase. Really wanted to try the nittos, but ended up going with a set of bfg gforce comp 2. They're going on Monday. I'd still like to try the nittos someday. Also looking into the federal ss595 as well as the toyo proxes t1r.

For a summer tire. The firestone firehawk indy 500 is a great bang for your buck tire. I’ve got them on my focus. They’re loads better than the Goodyear Eagle F1’s that came on it. More grip, quieter, better in the wet.

I'd argue the Continental ExtremeContact Sport is currently the king of the value hill for true performance tires with regard to what you pay vs. the performance you get. I've driven about 200k miles on the older Continental DWS and newer DWS 06. I agree with your assessment 100%. It is a respectable performer for an UHP all-season, it's cold weather/cold precipitation performance is exceptional, but it's warm weather performance leaves something to be desired, and the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ is wayyyy ahead of it in the warm performance category (but A/S3+ is pricier). That said, I prefer a true summer performance tire on my fun car and run the PSS and A052.

i was thinking about those as summer tires, in my country during the summer almost everyday is a bit over 100 degrees here so its hot as fuck, but i heard they last only about 1 season, im running pirelli pzero rosso assimetrico right now, really great summer tires, both for dry and wet roads during the summer, and they last a freaking lot, you can probably last at least 4 seasons (depending on how you drive) i drive mostly spirited

I remember there being a couple different treadwear ratings on these htr's

Been with Caldera Confidence C3s. 195/65 R15. Not too many miles, maybe about 1-2k miles but they're amazing in the short time I've been using them. Dry traction is very good, wet traction is pretty good too. It's somewhat soft tread, at a 460 rating, I can take corners around 70-75 mph in my 90 Ford Escort GT where other people would slow down to 60ish. Tread design is flowing and elegant, for an all season tire.

Winter is here so the contie winter contact ts860 are currently on the car. 2nd season they are being run now, haven't had an issue with them so far. Nice and quite, excellent handling in the wet and great in snow. And really good budget wise, got a set of 4 for 200 euro. (205/55/R16) This summer I want to slap on a set of Hankook Ventus prime 3's as they seem to be great tires in my budget.

As a person living in wisconsin I use the all weather Nokian WRG4 tires. They are amazing in the cold snowy winters and handle great in warm hot midwest summers
