I bought my legacy new in 05, and as a 20 something it was a great 'tuner' car. But now that I'm older I definitely appreciate its comfort oriented interior, and its classic styling. In the process of doing a ground up rebuilt, and I'm very excited to get it back on the road. For you young guys this is basically a WRX without the "hey cops pull me over" and vape jokes you get from the other Subarus.

I just Bought an '08 GT last week. I was trying for so long to find a spec.B but the only one that showed up in 500 miles from me (Los Angeles) had around 210k miles for a little over 10k which didn't seem worth it to me. Its my first car, been riding a motorcycle for a year and a half, and I'm happy with it. I got it from a guy who owns an FD RX-7, an S2000 (his first car) and an '18 WRX so at least i know my car is in good condition 😊 Still wondering if i can find a wrecked spec.B and swap the 6 speed into my non spec.B

I had a 2005 LGT for about 12 years. When I bought it, I was cross shopping the WRX, and for the same amount of money, it had ~25 more HP/TQ, had a more upscale interior, optional wagon, and a 40% cheaper insurance rate. It ended up being incredibly reliable and responded really well to tuning, and took some STI parts. It was a great car for the mid-late 2000's, prior to direct injection becoming the new standard.

The 3.0r legacy 4th gen is the first car I ever bought and still loving it to this day. 250hp of naturally aspirated 6 cylinder power so no turbos to worry about and cheaper than the twin turbos here in New Zealand. Less likely to have been thrashed all it’s life as well. Only issue is there is less head room for modifications but if you’re looking for a sensible and reliable car with AWD and plenty of grunt I’d highly recommend one of these. My cousin has a gti golf with a built engine and smokes me in a straight line but sure as hell cant keep up on some lovely windy roads hahaha. Love the videos mate and a big hello to the car community out there! Love learning about all cars, every car is great in its own way. Hope everyone is having a good one!

2018 Legacy here. 180 mile a day, 5 days a week commuter car and she's doing exactly what she is supposed to; so far anyway. I think Id buy another Subaru just for the adaptive cruise control. When you drive like I do. That adaptive cruise control is God Send. Still waiting to see if it can stand up to the longevity of my 08 Camry though. That old girl and her 2GR-FE engine kicked ass and ran over 600k miles on the original engine and transmission with no major overhauls. Those are pretty big shoes to fill. The car was still running great when I retired her too. Sold her to some kid that wanted it to put the engine in a Toyota MR2. I honestly didn't know people did that! Now I do Anyway Ive always been a die hard Toyota guy. I mean hell I still drive my 13 Tacoma when I'm not commuting. The wife has her 17 4runner and I still have my wife's old 14 Corolla S with only 38k miles sitting pretty for my niece when she graduates high school 2021. I think I'm more excited about giving her the car for a job well done than she will be about receiving it. I think kids deserve significant reward for getting through those grueling years of school. As adults we often forget just how hard school was and how much it sucked. So making it through, especially as an A student deserves major props. Id say an old model but almost new car is descent props haha. I'm going to see if the Subaru Legacy can stand up to the "legacy" of Toyota that's made me such a huge fan and up until 8 months ago one who only ever bought Toyotas.

You need to do more homework. You missed the B4 variants, and the S401 - I know you didn't get them but they're worth a mention

Once you own a Legacy 4th Gen GT you never go into anything other than it. Such a beautiful car top to bottom, minus all the bullshit it puts you thru. You find a good solid one, keep it up and safe. You wouldn’t regret it! I got a 06 GT Limited with a full forge and hardened rebuild and cannot be more happier with it. 🙏🔥

Oh hey, I have a 2011 Legacy. The first car I ever personally purchased after trading in a 2010 Nissan Altima my parents got me (it was definitely on its last legs). I've really been liking it so far. It's not gigantic, it's handled well when the roads were icey, and it has all the features I need. Hoping I will be able to drive it for many years to come

Me too. I got the limited eidition still going strong. I recently got stp dual exhaust setup on it and it sounds amazing. Now all i need a sti spoiler and its my own version of legacy GT. 😂

the intro's to Alex's videos are the best you can get on youtube or any platform for that matter. 'So you want...' and 'Opposite Lanes' intros get me so hyped to watch the video lol

I have a Limited 5 speed 2.5GT wagon and it’s one of the best cars I’ve ever had. Taken it to Florida from Virginia, and other long trips, just fine. Dual zone AC, panoramic roof, and all the other cool stuff still works and it’s at 261k miles.

I really want to see Alex do a So You Want episode on a Honda Accord. I got an 06 Accord Sedan with a 3.0L V6 and a 6speed manual transmission and it's super rare in the sedan form and it would warm my heart to see this channel talk about it 💙
