Cool to hear that you were on keto! Keto was certainly a wild ride for me. I lost 70 pounds (cut from super heavyweight to heavyweight). That was great, but I'm telling you, my strength shot up like crazy when I introduced carbs back into my diet. I'm glad you're healthy and doing well! I'm coming to train with y'all in November (just gotta line up the dates with my schedule).

on 12/05.2019 i made a life style change. I weighed 357, smoked cigs and never exercised and ate whatever whenever i wanted (obviously) I now weigh 270lbs (which is still fat but i am on my way) I no longer smoke, and i exercise everyday. I no longer eat junk and limit how much i eat per day. It is not an overnight process and is not easy. I made the change in my mind before i made any physical change. Its all in the mind! I plan on getting to 215-220 and see this as an obtainable goal.

My 6d/week routine (rest SUN): 20min HIIT (first thing AM), 30 min (3mile run or 9mile Bike or 1000m swim - ALT daily), 40 min (free weights ALT muscle group daily), Intermittent Fast 8P-12N, Eat Clean. After doctor warning, I went from 6-4 265 blob to 225 flat stomach in 5 months. Strength went up and now can run a 10 min mile with ease. Blood work from dangerous to perfect. All at 56 yo. For short: 6:20:30:40:IM:EC. I do occasionally cheat on my diet w/ bagged/box snacks, alcohol and sweets - but I don't make habit. Been doing it for 2 years now and it has become a normal routine. All cardio before I eat my first meal. Not bragging - just saying it can be done - even for an old guy in bad health (initially).

@Magnum Mountaineer Good on you sir. If you can, go to a legit running store and have them fit you for the shoe that works best for you. They should watch you walk or run on the floor or sidewalk, then they can tell by your stride, the way your foot lands etc., what kind of shoe you will need. It is a night and day difference between that and getting them from a Big Box store.
