@@ScottRods redoing a new A5007 United Pacific turn signal..Will tell you more later today..Thanks Marty!☺
The first car I can remember riding in, my parents had two cars after I was born but I don't remember riding in them, was a 1949 ford four door sedan that had a turn signal switch that was mounted to the column much like the one you had. I also used to drive a 1953 Chevrolet 2 ton farm truck that had a similar unit with turn signals mounted on top of the fenders.

All the wires from the universal flasher unit could have gone down the square tube that you have on top of the steering column. Would have look neat and tidy lol.

Hey Dave. Did you that you don't even need flashers on your car? I don't know about where you live but In my area, I was told by the garage that is going to do my safety on the Fargo that the car just has to pass safety that was made in the year of your vehicle. So in1936 there were no signal flashers. Use hand signals. Chances are that you won't see the front lights at night with the headlights on. Thanks for sharing.👍👍🍁

I am having a similar problem on my new install on my Polaris side by side UTV . At first I would get clicking in the off position and when turning R or L but no lights outside . I tried dropping the blue . I pulled out the hazard and blew a fuse .I have the 3 pin flasher and the letters re different on the flasher they show but the locations were right but am wondering if they are different even with the same location . I didn’t hook to the brake switch . I am thinking of checking continuity through the turn signal switch and try to simplify it but I am worried they have interconnected something within . I may just go with a rocker switch and toss the chrome one and add a couple dash indicator lights . I’m happy you were successful . If I had hair I would be pulling it out .
@ScottRods2 жыл бұрын
I think what we don't realise is, sometimes the brake pedal switch is a constant feed when not pressed, and is activated when the circuit is broken (when you press the pedal). So, without wiring it through a brake pedal switch it could be confusing the system.

Great vid Thanks. I installed one of these on a golf cart. Did not use the stop light (red) wire. Everything works fine on the cart, but the lights on the switch itself do not light at all. Any suggestions? Thanks again.

Did you ever get the indictors working on the actual switch? Mine work but when the key is off there is a dim light on the turn switch.
