This might be the most perfectly timed video ever. We're about to buy the exact same pipes once we find out how long they are (to make sure they ARE long enough) for exactly the same purpose. Don't suppose you know off hand? :D

Just over 4ft if I recall, I can measure in the morning for you.

That'd be fantastic if you don't mind!

I've always used Creation Motorsport for silicon hoses, good stocks of black hoses! They do joiners etc which are good too. The drawbolt style hose clips you've got on the rad hoses don't work well with silicone, they aren't great with rubber to be honest, they are designed for heavily reinforced industrial hose, silicone isnt stiff enough & rucks up where the band is split causing a leak path regardless how tight the clamp is. Decent closed band worm drive clips are where it's at with silicone. I've used zero clips in Birmingham in the past who do some very high quality all stainless wide band worm drive clips.

I've never had an issue with these style clamps. These are a very tight fit before being tightened, there's no signs of deforming the hose. I'd imagine if they were larger and needed to be tightened a lot they could pinch the hose.

All projects have these periods where everything seems to take forever, then as if by magic, it all starts to come together.

Also had multiple wrong deliveries from ASH. I refuse to use them now despite how polite and quick they were to try and rectify. Even the rectified orders were still wrong.

It's a real shame. Who do you use now Pete?

@@VisionAutoGarage stick with Vibrant for the ally pipe and SiliconHoses.com. Much dearer but the right stuff arrives.

if you have the time. replace the long parts of the water hoses with pipes. in addition to being much more attractive in appearance, the risk of being wrinkled when warm is reduced

I’ve found ASH to have particularly bad customer service. Commonly send incomplete orders, or send the wrong stuff. When you ask them if they’re getting them back in stock they don’t know. JJC race and rally seem more reliable!
